Just wondering, I had my cervix checked on tuesday and am still having a brownish discharge 2 days later. Should I consider this my "show". I am 39 weeks 1 cm and 60% effaced. This is my first pregnancy and I am really worried about going overdue as my mom was a month overdue with my brother and I and we were both 10 pound babies. I really don't want to experience that though so I drank 2 tbs of castor oil last night had maybe 3 contractions and a couple trips to the toilet but thats it. My other question is if I am dialating already for the last 2 weeks does this mean I have a better chance of going around my due date?

I can tell you that I lost my plug at 35 weeks, at 36 weeks the baby was very low and I was dialated to 1cm. I went yesterday for my 38th week apt and was still only 1cm:( After each exam I had brownish discharge that lasted for 1-2 days. Not enough to need a liner though, just when I wipe. I thought that I'd go early cause I'm having so much pain+pressure when the baby moves it is so uncomfortable, but the dr said that is no indicator. And as far as dialating she says the first 3 cm's are no sign that labor ison its way. Only once you reach 4. I know sad news!
