Some One Please Answer Contractions Not Dilating

i went to the hospital yesterday and i was haveing steady contractions they told me to go home cause i am not dilating i am only 1.. i am 36 weeks pregnant and all day and night i am having contractions but not dilateing what can i do i cant take this anymore ....
