I am 38 weeks pregnant and had my doctors appointment today.I am 2 cm dialated.The doctor told me not to worry if I spotted blood tonight and tomm that it was just the exam.I am spotting blood now and I know that doctor knows best,but I am still worried taht something is wrong.Can anyone tell me if spotting after an exam is normal?

everytime i've had an exam during my pregnancy i have spotted. dr. does know what he or she is talking about:)

Yes, don't worry. I had spotting after every exam too with my first daughter and am waiting to see it now at 37 1/2 weeks. Some would say it's part of the "bloody show" that you expect to see before labor.

If your doctor told you to expect it and then it happened i wouldn't be worried. If there was no reason for it then you could be alarmed.
