That seems very odd, being that when they break your water (or it breaks on it's own) it is the amniotic fluid that surrounds the baby and is crucial for the baby's good health. I would talk to your doctor about this maybe you misunderstood when they said there was no water.

Yes, that does sound strange. No water or fluid is a problem.

Sometimes baby is blocking alot of the water and the water eventually comes out after baby does. Maybe this is what they meant? Did you feel the water flow out with baby?

When I had my son, they broke my water and I had nothing come out also. As he was born it gushed out. His head was blocking it, I guess.

I was induced, and my doctor broke my water in the hospital. At first it was a little trickle- like I pee'd in my pants, but as the contractions got stronger the water began to gush- at the end I could not believe how much water was coming out!!!! It was literally a total of about 2.5 to 3 gallons ( this is what my doc said!!!!) I soaked everything and had to have my bed completely changed 3 times!
