I feel stupid asking because I should've asked the doctor what he meant... but today at my 35 1/2 wk app. when he checked to see the position of the baby he said, "you're one fingertip"... does that mean one cm dilated? I can't think of it meaning anything else but i'm just not sure..

Means 1 cm dialated aprox. 2 is 1finger atop the other, 3 is those 2 fingers slightly parted. If you have a measuring tape you can actualy measure your fingers on the tape to see what I am talking about,

Yeah I am pretty sure it means your 1cm dilated, I believe thats how they can tell. Good Luck!
