Worried And Scared

ok, I'm 18 and I'm currently 38 weeks and 1 day. I have a doctor's appointment later this afternoon and today he's going to decide whether or not he's going to induce me. My blood-pressure has always been a little high, even before I became pregnant but now its slightly inclining and my doctor's worried about the baby's health and so am I. As of lately, I've been experiencing dizziness and mild to severe headaches, I know those are some early signs of preeclampsia but also, at night when I stretch, my muscles seize up on me. That has me extremely worried and I know its probably not good for my health to stress about that. I'm going to tell my doctor about these things and see what he says about it. Has anyone had to be induced because of high blood pressure?? Does anyone think that I could be developing preeclampsia?? I thank anyone for their comments.

I can't offer much but my mother was on bed rest due to high blood prea__sue with both my sister and I. She was also induced (once at 16 and then at 27) and she keeps telling me "labor isn't as bad as you are expecting it to be." It's not much but I hope it helps you feel alittle less stressed. Good luck at your appointment.

I have not had hbp, but I have had frineds that have. They just induce you and watch you very close. The only cure for pre-eclampsia is delivery. I have always had issues with dizziness and headaches and they do get more frequent towards the end, but in 6 delieveries, I have never experieinced it. GL to you! Keep us posted!
