i am 30 weeks pregnant and was just wondering if anybody knows how anemia can affect the baby? i have read so much about how it affects the mother but when it comes to the baby there is minimal information.

hi sw, i was found anemic at 28 weeks it is pretty normal in your third trimester, and they just started me on iron. it won't hurt the baby because the baby is getting all the blood and not leaving enough for you. so don't worry and if the doctor didn't start you on iron then try to eat iron rich foods.

yes the doctor has started me on iron tablets and due to have more blood taken in 2 wks so hopefully everythings better then!thanks for the reply!!goodluck for the rest of your pregnancy.
