Hi everyone! Found out i was pregnant last jan 17 and based on my lmp i would have been 7 wks on d way. I had an u/s last jan. 28 but the rsult showed a 4 wk pregnancy, with gestational sac but no fetal pole yet. my ob suggested that i take duvadilan & duphaston and scheduled me for a 2nd u/s on feb. 6. I feel really sad by now and could not stop crying. reading ur posts lift my spirit up and am praying and hoping that God will grant me the child that i've been hoping for.

Maybe you caught your pregnancy on Jan 17th early. In that case, you would have been only about 4 weeks on the 28th.. Have you had your HCG checked and have they doubled every 48 hours?

I haven't had my HCG level checked yet except when i had a pregnancy blood test. Maybe u're right. Actually I would like to think of my situation that way and that nothing is wrong. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and praying that everything will turn out fine after my second u/s.

what was your HCG at when you had your pregnancy blood test done and when was that?

Daniella, the result didn't indicate my hcg level. Just a positive result. I'll have to check with the lab clinic the exact level of my hcg. The blood test was done on Jan. 18.

oh, I see.. they just told you that its positive... well, you can call and ask what the number was. That should give you a better indication how far you may be, and if perhaps you ovulated late. A home pregnancy test usually detects HCG at about 25. That is about 11 days or so after conception. So, if your numbers.. say was about 100, then you may have been only 2 weeks after conception (4 weeks gestation). Well, I wish you luck in the 6th. Is your dr. checking your HCG again to see how much they have increased??

Hi daniella! I called up the lab and the employee said that i would have to undergo a BetaHCG exam to know my hcg level because what they did on pregnancy test is not enough to determine the hcg level. I'll wait for my ob to suggest that i take the exam. She wants to see me on the 6th to see my u/s result. Thanks for wishing me luck. I really appreciate it.

Annabel- where you from if you don't mind saying... I don't know what exactly they did when they took your blood if not to get your HCG quants.. This is how it goes for where I'm from... You go into the dr. office (or clinic).. and tell them you just had a positive test. They make you pee in a cup, before anythig, to see if theirs came back positive also.. IF it does, then you go get your blood taken. That shows your HCG and a few other things.. When you get your HCG taken (blood serum).. it takes about 2 hours and it comes back a number. The urine is the only one where it just comes back positive or negative. Also.. there is no HCG exam per say. Its just when you get your blood taken.. hey, you did get your blood taken, right?? lol... anyhow, you can ask your dr. what they checked when they took your blood, etc., etc.. I am surprised she didn't have you get a follow up blood work to see how your pregnancy hormones are rising. You'll have a lot of questions answered on the 6th. Luckily you don't have to wait too long. Good luck!!!

Im from the Philippines. How about u? I had 3 pregnancy tests. The first is a home preg test on Jan. 16 which showed a "weak" positive. I had a urinalysis on Jan.17 also positive and the blood test in a different lab on Jan.18. I went to my OB on jan. 18 & showed her the results and she told me to get an u/s on jan, 28. I showed her the result today, she did a pap smear on me & will show her the result as well as the fe. 6's u/s result on the very same day.

Annabel- thats so funny.. because your writing sounded like one of my friends that lives here in Japan, but from the philipines... she always says, "last Jan. 5th" etc., etc... I'm used to, when someone says, "last" they mean the one before this one. lol... so, if I said, "last Jan. 1st" I would mean Jan. 1st. 2005.. not 2006. lol.. just something funny of when I read yours I had to think if you were saying you had this done last year, or recently, but then I realized you write like my friend from the philipines and probably mean this one. LOL>.. that is so cool. Anyhow, I live in Japan. lol.... I am originally from the states, but overseas in Japan because of the military. __anyhow, if you had a weak positive on Jan. 16th... and the ultrasound on Jan. 28 th showed 4 weeks.. then maybe you were only 2 weeks on the 16th. Wow Fenny.. I was just thinking and talking about you... you being my Filipino friend in Japan.. how weird and cool is that?? How is everything going? I was talking to my hubby last night how I haven't heard from you and wondering how everything is and if you've had a positive test yet.. Gosh, also... was going to Email you, cuz I got you something and wanted to make sure your address. :) I dont think I could read it too well on the package you sent me. lol

I just found out I was pregnant last week w/ home preg. test and then at the doctor's office. But the u/s was disappointing. No baby and they figured I was about 7 weeks along. But not sure of it b/c I always had ovualtion problems. I took Provera back in Nov. and had a period in Dec. but none in Jan this year, so when I took a preg. test I was surprised! I've read ya'lls forums and I'm going to stay optimistic! I am not gonna stop praying for this baby! :)

Katie... are they running HCG on you to have a better idea?? you cant go by LMP when you have had a weird period or took provera.. Hey, I found out I was pregnant day 5 or 7 of the provera. lol... Good thing we knew the exact date we had s_x, or else I would be a month off on my dates. lol..
