hi i had an amnio last tuesday i got my results and baby fine i am 19 weeks and need to know what sort of symptoms people suffered after an amnio , at the moment a keep getting slight cramps and am a little worried, already lost 3 babies to misscarriages couldnt cope with a nother one please help.

I had an amnio done at 16 weeks. It hurt, and I had a little cramping for about 24 - 48 hours, but did not cause me to misarry. Unfortunately, I'm 40 and my baby had severe Down syndrome and complications. I lost my baby at 18 weeks, but NOT from the amnio. You have a health baby, take it easy after the amnio, don't lift anything and give yourself a few days. I actually felt fine until two days before the miscarriage - the amnio had NOTHING to do with it. So, feel lucky, and ask your doctor if you are still feeling crampy after a few days.

I have had amnio in two previous pregnancies. I do remember having some cramping afterward for several days. Braxton Hicks are quite common after amnio. Rest and try to relax, if you feel uneasy call your doctor.

Hi, I had an amnio on Monday , felt slight cramps a first day(but noo more for now), but I worry a little about slight liquid coming from me. I do not know how to find the peace of mind as I am worry about the baby. Could it be normal if you loosing a small ammount of liquid or not? I am 43 and baby is 16 weeks now.
