I was just diagnosed with BV and I amd 7 weeks pregnant. Has anyone else experienced this or know any of the risks of having it?

From what I've read, it's even more common than yeast infections during pregnancy.

I had BV when i was 8 wks pregnant. They prescribed me an antibiotic. No side effects. I know if it is not treated it could cause premature labor.

I was diagnosed with BV at 5m was treated with antibiotics and everything was fine.

How did they screen u for this? Was it routine, through a urine test?

It can be found during a routine pelvic exam. It's a bacteria in your v____a, that they do a swab culture on.
|
