Did I Miss My Fertile Time

I had my post miscarriage apt today. The doc said when they were doing the internal exam that i what looked like fertile mucus. Did i miss the window of opportunity? My husband and i just ttc today b/c we got the ok to go ahead again. I had a D&C 2 wks ago. I know the discharge is usually clear but my has been light brown. could this still be ovulation?
