I took 2 tests, sat & sun, both positive. I had been sick all that week, all symptoms, then the pain started. Not like cramps, just pain in the abdomen and low back. Last few days the nausea has gone away. I have a dr. appt tomorrow, but the tests are coming up negative now. I thought the hcg levels are supposed to double. I'm supposed to be 5 weeks. AF was due on the eighth. The pain hasn't stopped since thursday..... I've had miscarriages, but they always started with blood. I've only had light staining, my doc is reluctant waste time on me before 8 weeks! I was taking a medicine that's dangerous, and am freaking out! Please help! What should I tell him to test for. If the urine test is negative he'll send me home.

I'm sorry to hear of your trouble. I know it's really frustrating to hear, but there's really nothing the dr can do for you this early. They can't stop a miscarriage. But I bled a little in the first trimester, and I didn't miscarry, so don't give up all hope. In fact my dr did an ultrasound at 7 1/2 weeks for my rea__surance, so you could ask about that. I'll be praying for you and I hope everything turns out okay.

Thank you Miranda for your prayer and response. The test came up negative at the dr too, he thinks the body reabsorbed the pregnancy, hence no heavy bleeding. What the heck does that mean? He took a "Qualitive" blood test, does that check for numbers of hcg? The pain factor got me an u\s today, we'll know more then. I know I've heard of women with low or non existent hcg #'s that had babys, but dr didn't have any hope. Very sad last few days, you think about your baby, soon as that test turns pink. I'll keep you updated. Thanks PS the pain hurts now when I cough or laugh too...weird.
