Just Had My Cerclage Put In

Hi there. I am 11 wks and 5 days pregnant. I just had my cerclage put in yesterday. Before I had spoken on this forum to a wonderful women who was I believe 30 + weeks along and had also had a cerclage put in. This is my 1st time having a cerclage and I am a little worried. I still feel crampy and and still spotting a little w/two times of there being small clots and fibery looking discharge. I am just worried as to all this and would really like to here from someone who has been through this if this is all normal?! Thank you : )

Pennie, my sister had a ceclage at 14wks pg and everything went well. She just had a lot of craming but it was from her incision and muscles. I think she had some bleeding but not heavy. she took it easy for awhile and delivered at 33wks 5days. He is now 10 mos.

Did they put your sister on bed rest at all? Did she have any limits put on lifting or activity ( other than intercourse)?

my sister was on bed rest at 28 weeks with only being able to get up to got to the bathroom and to eat. She had a 15-20lb throughout preg till bed rest. I.m not sure which kind of ceclage you had but that was her 2nd one so they did it adominally the 2nd time around. then they leave it in till she is done wanting to have children.
