I am going through this right now - cramping, a lot of blood - my doctor recommended an emergency ultrasound and then we will see but I am scared because I can't find much info on what happens if the miscarriage isn't completed.

I had an incomplete miscarriage at 9 wks I began to bleed slightly at first then it got heavier and different in colour. I stayed off my feet for a week then was told by my doctor that it was pointless and that nature would take its course.I then had an ultrasound and they told me there was no longer a heartbeat. I was devastated. My doctor booked me into hospital for a D&C and the night before I had excruciating pain and was pa__sing clots however my body still didn't dispel everything. After the D&C I stopped bleeding and was no longer in a pain except emotionally. The procedure isn't painful but apparently this is what they do for most incomplete miscariages unless you choose to wait which I would imagine would only add to the trauma of the loss. Best of luck to you all.
