~E~ i answered you back on general pregnancy forum.Tami,if you have a minute why don't you go there too and see what you think.~E~ posted the same question here:back pain, chest pain. I really hope she doesn't have it but it just sounds too much like it.Let me know what you think.Especially the pressure inside the chest area, that when you get nauseous too.
So far my day has been going pretty good.I've seen some of your posts left and right.I looove some oof the "vent" sites. It's just fun to argue with a bunch of hormonal women.lol
Anna, how are you doing today? Is the texas heat getting to you.I will never have another child in Oklahoma summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you guys tried the prenatal pills from walgreens? Thats the kind i've been using and i've never gotten sick from them. They don't have any taste or smell at all!!!!
I am p[lanning on taking several months off work to be with jesse.I'll probably get back next year.My hubby bought me yesterday a laptop for when i'm at home.I thought that was very sweet.Well..............today i'm 35 weeks pregnant and it came with more pains .I have a charliehorse on my leg and its killing me.I woke up early this morning b/c of it.And 2 days ago i had one on my other leg.My restrooms are upstairs and i can't hardly get up there today.Hopefully i won't have to pee to often.Well i guess i'll browse around for a litt;e while but i will check with ya'll later!!!!!!!!!!!!!

E...maybe its just your uterus expanding since you are 30 weeks it should be getting to your upper stomache area and also the back pain is probably your bones in your hips expanding preparing for labor...maybe you should try to remember what you ate before the pain started. If it was something greasy or fried it may be gallstones. I didn't have nausea until a year after I knew I had gallstones

Shelly, I know don't you just love those vent sites? I agree with what you said to E over on the general forum. I think it sounds like gall stones to me becuase of the pressure and stuff. It may just start off pretty mild. Hopefully it isn't for her sake though! I am sorry your 35 weeks came with more pain (as if you haven't already had enough!) Hopefully that charlie horse goes away soon! I wake up every morning with a horrible back ache-not fun! I am sure it will only get worse! Lately when I walk my right hip has been hurting, oh the joys of pregnancy. Maybe I will go back over to the venting forum!
E-Are you asking an OB about the pressure or someone else? If it continues you might want to go to a surgeon or a regular doctor and talk to them about it!
Anna-how are you feeling today? Incision getting less sore?
Well, ladies hope yoru days are going great! I will talk to you later.

hi i'm 13 weeks pregnant and have to have my gal bladder taken out in 1 week because i am not eating anything and only drinking water. my doc said that there is more problems for me if i dont get the gal bladder taken out then to the baby. you can get really sick and almost die if you have an attack later on in pregnancy.

Renee, I understand that is the number one reason that I had my out two weeks ago. My question is, your doctor is taking it out at only 14 weeks, my surgeon told me that he would not take mine out till I was past 15 weeks because the baby is fully formed then and you won't harm him or her with the anesthia. I went and had my first consultation with my surgeon at around 13 weeks because my nausea wouldn't go away and because my stomache was always sore where my gallbladder was at. I actually waited till I was 20 weeks which was hard because the pain was increasing. I avoided any fatty foods and fried food. Did your doctor say that it was ok for you to have surgery in the first trimester.

Hi gals, Shelly, I understand the heat. It is always hot in Texas. I think right now we are having highs of over 100 degrees. I think the humidity is worse, you can be out for ten minutes and when you sweat it is horrible, leaves you all sticky and stuff, bad for your hair...like I have the energy to fix my hair these days...I'm sorry to hear about your charlie horses..I used to get some pre-pregnancy and my doc always said it was because I wasn't drinking enough water, but they are painful. My cuts are feeling a lot better...a whole lot less itchy...yes...Tami, I hope the stretch mark lotion works...I used to put it on religiously with the first one, four times a day and around my eight month the stretch marks came...I think my skin just had enough stretching...remember I gained 50 pounds. E..maybe you should have an ultrasound to see if you do have gallstones...that would be the only sure way to know.

Wow! More and more people to reply to each day! This is fun. Shelly-the heat is awful huh? At least here we dont' get much humidity. It was 97 degrees today, but it is dry heat which means my skin and lips are just so chapped! It is so annoying. Has your charlie horse pain gotten any better?
Anna-I sure hope that stretch mark cream works also! So far I haven't gained much so hopefully that makes a difference, but my stomach is growing by the day-at least thats what I think! Hopefully you don't get anymore with this pregnancy!
Renee-I was also wondering the same thing as Anna when I heard how far along you are. I was told the safest time for surgery is in the second trimester-preferably around the 18-20th weeks. I was just wondering why they decided to do it so soon. I, like Anna recently have had gallbladder surgery-I was 25 weeks. They actually did open surgery on me, as opposed to larascopically. Everythign was fine and I still ahve a healthy little girl squirming around inside me 24/7! Are they doing the larascopic surgery since you aren't that far along? They did my surgery becuase I was so sick and not keeping anythign down, plus one stone got lodged in a duct and was making me jaundiced and affecting my liver-something like that. Anyways, we tried to control it with a low-fat diet or awhile but then the last attack occured and they wanted to take it out!
E-I agree with Anna. You should get an ultrasound done to check for gallstones! tHen you will know for sure!
Well, ladies I am going to bed. HAve a good night and I will talk to you tomorrow.

Renee, i don't disagree with your surgeon, but from all you posted i would go for a second opinion.I did and ended up with the best.I agree with Tami and Anna;14 weeks is waaaay to soon to do the surgery. The anesthesia could cause the fetus harm at thi stage. The second half of your second trimester is the best time to do the surgery.Like at week 20.And yes you can have complications like Tami had with blocking her liver or it bursting but it really depends per case. That was my biggest worry and the first surgeon that saw me was the biggest *ss and all he cared for was the money.I did a background check on him on the internet and he had several accounts of s_xual harrasment on him, somebody i know used to work for him and she told me that he will cut on anybody at any time so he can get the money. My second opinion surgeon took a lot of time to revieuw my case (he has an excellent reputation) and we decided to pospone the surgery till after i deliver my baby.It really depends per case and surgeon.
Tami and Anna, i will write you guys later,i just had to put my two cents on this one .Bye

Hi all. Thank you all for your concern. Yesterday was good and I did not have the pain. Today is another story... and I just called the advice center. My ob office is to call me back shortly. Any more info you could provide would really be appreciated. If go in to see the doc, I will ask them to do an ultrasound. Question: Would they notice gallstones durinig routing prenatal ultrasounds?.. or is this ultrasound different. Ladies, if you can me more details of the pain it would be great. I am so frustrated w/ trying to figure out what this is.

Hey E, sorry about the pain today. Pain is not fun anytime, but especially during pregnancy. The pain is different for everyone, but the pressure and the pain in the back sounds like what I experienced. It varied with attacks, but sometimes I would just curl up in a ball and cry, the pain was so intense. It is also a nonstop thing usually-not a come and go throbbing, but a constant ache. They wouldn't notice the stones with a routine prenatal ultrasound, becuase there they are just looking at you baby and uterus. They would have to specifically look at your gallbladder which is up high, almost under your right rib cage during pregnancy. I've also heard the pain described as very severe heartburn! Let me know what the doctor says. If he says it is the baby again, I would recommend finding another doctor or something who would test the possibility of gall stones! Anyways, hope this helps!
Talk to you later!

E- I agree with Tami a routine ultrasound only checks the baby, you have to be specifically checked for gallstones and they check the surrrounding organs at the same time. I was diagnosed with H-Pylori a month before I found out about gallstones, now that felt like heartburn all the time. But I would definitely go to another doctor, it doesnt have to be your OBGYN to talk about gallstones. Your obgyn has to refer you to another doctor anyways. Gals, I am so jealous, dry heat sounds so nice right about now. It is so humid and gross and whats worse we haven't had hardly any rain lately. I'm complaining because I work for a police department and all we get is gra__s fires and other garbage fires, were are under a burn ban right now. I saw my surgeon yesterday because I pulled up a bandage, because it was getting yellow like puss, and discovered that it was open. I saw the doctor and they said that it was my skin rejecting the st_tches. It looks pink but that it wasn't infected and that it should heal in a couple of weeks. I also went to the ER last night because I got food poisoning . It was horrible and I went to the ER because I am pregnant and didn't know if it could affect the baby. The doctor said that it was fine and that the only thing I should worry about is I got dehydrated. This has just been a bad couple of days. Renee, I would really hold off on the surgery for a couple of more weeks, it may mean following a strict diet and dealing with some pain and discomfort but it will be best for the development of your child. You do not want to have that doubt in your head for the next several months. I worry if I made the right choice, but everything seems fine with my little girl as well, but I do admire Shelly for holding on for so long

Anna-I am so sorry! It sounds like you have had a miserable last couple of days. I hope that they get better for you. I am also sorry about the food poisioning! After all you have been through, that happens on top of it. Hopefully you everything goes well for the rest of this pregnancy. I can understand about the fires! We haven't been getting rain-and it is dry here so there is a town they had to evacuate in the southern part of our state earlier last week. We have gone from severe flooding this summer to severe wildfires all within a month. It is unbelievable. Today it was 99 degrees. I went for a walk today at around 3 (I should have waited until later) and as soon as I walked outside the heat hit me so hard it was hard to breathe. Yuck! I am not planning to be pregnant through the summer ever again!
E-Let us know what your doctor says!
Renee-I agree with Anna. You should try to hold off on the surgery just a couple more weeks and have that special diet. Just try eat very unfattening stuff and get some nutricious low-fat drinks that you can get some nutrients from. I drank ensure and slimfast(it has lots of vitamins) becuase I had a hard time with solid foods so try that if the solids cause an attack. Hope you get everythign figured out and start feeling better soon!
Shelly-hey! We haven't heard from you in awhile. HOpe everything is alright. Is the little one perhaps on his way soon? :)

Hy Guys, no the little one is not there yet. just a little busy in the store. To E, I agree with Tamy and Anna you need to have a special gallbladder ultra-sound and I have days I do not have any pain at all and then it just pops up unexpected. To Renee, please let us know if you are going to have a second opinion! Anna, that realy sucks about your st_tches and food poisining, really realy bad timing!
I had the food poisining in my first trimester and the doctor told me indeed that it would not go through the placenta, you should be fine! Tami, there has been a while since we talked together, but at least we are able to help other people, Monday we will just talk about Kailey, Jesse and your moving. You all have a good weekend and talk to you all on Monday,
