Lisa, Sometimees in pregnancies alot of women don't experience any symptoms at all or just a few. It is commom to not have any sickness or sore b___bs. I'm sure you'll be fine and I'm sure that you don't want any sickness or sore b___bs:) Just be sure that the bleeding stays light and does not turn into tissue or clots.

April, thanks for the rea__surance. The bleeding has stayed light over the past three or four days, after being heavy for one or two. No clots or tissue. I am just really anxious waiting for the results from the second blood test. I get the results this evening. It is the not knowing that is driving me crazy. We want this baby and it could be weeks before we know whether it is viable or not. It has been such a roller coaster. Thanks.

I got good news this morning. My numbers doubled from 3900 to 7711. Very excited. But still spotting which is making me nervous. I go in for another blood test on Monday and then another ultrasound next Friday. How early can you see a heartbeat? I think I will be about 7 weeks next Friday. Still scared, but rea__sured by the numbers. Would the numbers double if it was a blighted ovum? April and Cyn, thanks for the posting responses. It makes me feel a little better to know that not everyone has all of the "regular" symptoms. Thanks again.

Congratulations Lisa! That's very good, positive & rea__suring news! By Week 7, the u/s should be able to detect the heartbeat. Best of luck and let us know what's happening. I am going for my "blood donation" now..:)

Thanks Cyn. We are very excited. Let us know when you get the results from your blood work!! Good luck!!

Lisa, That is some awesome news, at least for one of us. I miscarried on Thursday and it was awful. I was kind of hoping that I wouldn't miscarry because we both wanted a little girl. But, it's okay because we have plenty of time to try again. Well, Lisa, the only thing I can say is good luck and congratulations. Oh and one other thing, an u/s does not always pick up the baby's heartbeat because I had one and I was 7 weeks pregnant. They only pick up on the pregnancy, but it still may be a little too early to detect a heartbeat.

My gynae office just called me with some awful news. My hcg levels are rising but not rising high enough and she wants to give me pills to miscarry. But I am going in for an ultraound tomorrow to make sure first. Right now, I feel so sad. sob..sob This will be my second m/c in a year if it really happens. :(

Lisa - June 27

Cyn, I would suggest not letting them rush you into taking anything until they are totally sure. I have heard lots of stories where the levels don't rise like they are "supposed to" and the pregnancy turns out just fine. Wait for the u/s.

Thanks Lisa, that's what I am hoping for that it is a misdiagnosis. Calling my sis-in-law (a doc.) later to see what she thinks of the numbers.

Lisa don't let them rush you at all you never know what can happen

Amy - June 27

Sorry i not lisa CYN

Cyn - June 27

Thank you Lisa & Amy. Though I am trying to keep myself positive, I can't help feeling so sad after the news.

CYN i know how you feel i had a m/c in may and it was after we tryied for 9 mon but i let the m/c happen natural and i got pg about 3 wks later now i'm 6wks 3 d and very crazy about worries best of luck

Cyn - June 27

Amy, it was the same case for me, I basically started worrying from the time we tried again. I am thinking of getting second opinion but it's so difficult to fix an appt here in the bay area. I am originally from Singapore and pardon me for saying, the medical system back home is really very much efficient than here and doctors are very approachable.

Lisa - June 28

Cyn, please let us know what the results of your ultrasound are. If necessary get a second opinion, or wait a week and get another ultrasound. I am praying for you!! Good luck!!!!

The same thing happened to me 4 months ago. The first doctor gave me an ultrasound, and there was nothing. got a second opinion, and there was a sac and a baby but no heartbeat. i was also 7 weeks. 2 days later, i started bleeding, and had to get a DNC. i don't know what causes it, i guess that it was just meant to be. keep trying though, don't give up.
