DO NOT give up hope, i too had problems lost babies, low hcg, but i have just had a scan at 21 weeks and im having another boy whoooo hooooo!! he was not shy at showing off his bits i didnt have a choice wether we wanted to know, he was proud.. do not give up hope, and try and get all the help you need, be pushy and forcefull with the doctors, and get your own way, sounds like im a spoilt brat but if i hadnt of been so pushy i would proberbly of lost this one too... lots of love and N hope your well.. xxxx

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so happy for you...boys are so much fun & best of all...they love their mommies soooo much!! Thank you for your words of encouragement...you & your story give us the hope we so desperately need & can never lose! We are still trying & praying that 2006 will be our lucky year! thankyou krissy, my little boy is sooooo loving, and im hoping this one will be too. we were on cloud nine yesterday, my little boy got his own scan picture and asked me to put it in a frame on his wall ( think someone is excited!!) i really hope you and everyone else on this forum get good news soon, and keep on trying as that is the fun part after all !!!!! xxxx

My IVF was on the 14th of Nov and On friday the 25th the beta level was 18 ans then on Monday the 28th they were at 22. I had a third beta today...hoping for a miracle

I am suppose to be about 1 month prego but my numbers are low 1600 to be exact. Does this mean I am destin to miscarry?Someone please tell me?

hi all, im in limbo, just had another lot of blood results and they have gone down from 5544 to 4388, im only 5 weeks pregnant, any one have any ideas in whats going to happen to my baby, I got to have a scan on monday but it cant come quick enough

courtney to me your numbers dont seem low, it depends on what doctor you see, there are so many people with different opinions, and just because your numbers seem low, does not mean you are going to loose this baby, obviously we are not doctors on here and cant tell you that your fine, as none of us know that, but im sure everything will be fine, just relax, do not stress over it, wait and see about your other tests!! good luck.. rachel.. poor thing having to wait until monday for a scan, i have no idea why your numbers are going down, it is a little concerning but then again others have gone down and still had normal healthy pregnancies, wait and see what the scan says and then if needs be start worrying, until then enjoy your pregnancy!!! good luck girls xxxx

hi girls thanks again for your reponse, just another quick question, i might be going on about the same thing, but i just cant seem to get my head around things. My first hcg was 2033, 48hrs later 2300, thats when they said it was a confirmed ectopic, so they gave me a shot of methetrexate in each leg, and repeated the hcg which still went up to 3868, 48 hrs later 5399, there was concern in why they were still rising, so they gave me another scan of which it showed a sac and yolk sac in my uterus(omg it wasnt ectopic but they already given me the shots), they told me that it was a psudosac that they seen but this other doctor said it was a gest sac (what they playing at), they wanted to give me a d&c, but i said no , As why they want to do that if its a baby growing inside of me, I mean im not bleeding not in pain, so why.the day after my scan i had to speak to a doctor again and he repeated my scan but on one of them portable ones which i think wasnt as clear as the main ones they use and this time they couldnt see anything at all, still no blood or anything so where could it have gone?. they repeated my hcg and they still went up but only to 5544, 3 days later they had fallen to 4388, i got this scan now on monday, but so scared of them saying that it has gone, but where as i have no loss, or that it has died inside of me due to the shots that i have had. Pleaseeeeee really dont know what to think.

Well I'm kind of confuzzed and I'm hoping that someone can help me. My first beta # was a 7, 2 days later it was an 8. I waited about 5 days to take my 3rd beta and the results of that was a 686. My #'s are going up.. so that's definately a plus, but here's where I'm confuzzed..I took the HPT on 11/13 and it came out positive. My last cycle prior to that was 10/10. Monday, 11/14, I started bleeding, and got my cycle, which lasted the normal 4 days. Which cycle do I go by? My Oct cycle? Going by that cycle I'm just a lil over 7 wks preggers, going by the 11/14 cycle, I'm only like 2 wks. I have no idea which one to go by... help!!!

rachel... omg, your story is so scary, i think you have a nice law suit on your hands, especially when they are giving you shots and the baby is actually in your womb!! i know when i have been told my babys dies it has still been in the sac until i started bleeding, so i have no idea ( if this is whats has happened) where the baby could of gone, when you had your scan did you see the baby aswell as the person scanning you? as your numbers were going up pretty crazy! but with your numbers now going down, im sorry to say it does sound concerning to me, especially how they have dropped dramatically.. i just cant understand where the baby could have gone if you have had absolutley no bleeding at all, pain sometimes doesnt happen but you would of been bleeding, its so confusing, because you deffinatley were pregnant with your numbers, are they sure it wasnt in your tubes??? lets us know what happens on monday chrssimpson@hotmail.co.uk, if you need to talk teigan xxx

thanks teigan, i am very concerned, but in heterotopic(which i believ i am) the bloods can vary anyway. when i saw my consultant he said there was a great possibility that i was heterotopic ( 1 in 10,000 chance), which is baby in tube and baby in uterus, but they missed baby in uterus as it was only 4 weeks on first scan, not big enough to be seen. this heterotopic has already occured in the family of which we notified them, but they still gave me the shots, of which now we dont know whats happening to the baby in the uterus ,as it seemed to grow in 1 whole week, as it was seen on the second scan. My most recent visit to the hospital i saw a different doctor and he was trying to tell me, that it was never an hetrotopic in the first place it was only a ectopic, but we have evidence of the yolk sac inside the sac in the uterus, this only occurs in a gestational sac not a pseudosac as they trying to convince us.also they admit theres a yolk sac inside i done my investigations all come to the same conclusion, they use the yolk sac to confirm its NOT a psuedosac. i don't know if this will help but i am about 6 weeks pregnant and on tuesday i was bleeding so i went to the hospital my beta levels were 12,000 and then on thursday they were only 17,000. so of course i had to go back again today and it was only 23,000. i don't know if my story makes any sense because i am very scared.

well here i am back again, i just came back from having my scan, and yes they did see the sac and yolk sac which have grown from last week, but only by 3mm, the sac was meausering 8mm last week, and now 11mm. they have told me that they dont think its a viable pregnancy as it havnt grown enough in 1 week, as they would expect it to.So im still having no idea in whats happening, can someone please advise me in what you think about the growth, as i really cant trust what the doctors tell me any more. thank you rachel.

hey rachel, im still baffled by your story, i honestly couldnt say about the growth, but i can say that when doctors say its not a viable pregnancy there more wrong than right, have you had a look on the internet for sizes of the fetus and things to expect, have a look and see what you come up with, sorry your no further forward xx take care xx
