Sandra-d-I am here thinking about A-miracle and you. Will be praying for you tonight. I know it is very tempting to just go and try pregnancy without surgery and see what will happened. I believe we are all very tempted to do so, but as one doctor said:"Nature made mistake and I think I can fix it." so just belive you are doing right thing, because you decided based on your best interested and just belive that you and your hobby made the right decision and one day you will be happy you did so. I am sending my thoughts your way. Wish you the best luck tomorrow and will post here soon after it is over. Next week we will be all over the surgery. Once again GOOD LUCK!

Hi there ladies...I usually post on the problems getting pregnant forum (the 2ww no more thread) but because I am going to have a myomectomy soon I found this thread and alll I can say is wow to what all of you have been through. My story...been ttc for over 2 years now. Got BFP in Feb 2007 with IUI and clomid. m/c at 7.5 weeks. Got BFP again in Aug of 07 with IUI and clomid. Lost my baby boy at 16 weeks in November. Currently waiting for all of the hcg to get out of my system so we can get the abdominal myomectomy scheduled. For all of you ladies that are scheduled please know I am saying a HUGE prayer for you right now.

Lid27-
If your fibroids are on the outside of your uterus, then they may not be a problem for pregnancy. MIne were in the lining so they were a problem for me. Your doc also indicates you had an incompetent cervix and this is why you had your loss. Well a cerclage can help that. Go have the sonogram done, and your doc will tell you the results during the sonogram done. If she says "I don't think the fibroids will interfere", BY ALL MEANS START TTC again that cycle! This is important to consider when scheduleing this test as,YOU ARE VERY FERTILE AFTER A SONOGRAM TEST, because they inject you with a dye in your uterus that is oil based. This oil goes all the way through your fallopian tubes. This oil makes the egg/sperm travel back to your uterus REALLY easy. Who cares about any pain? It's like one minute of light cramping, really easy to deal with! Keep thinking about the fact that if the doc says no problem for the fibroids, then it is time to move on and try again! And "hit it hard" that month with ma__sive s_x, you'll end up pregnant. Good luck!

Hello Ladies I hope everyone is having a Blessed Day. I am so happy I found this site just reading about women who have been through similar situations as me makes all the difference. Even though every woman is difference just hearing the positve stories makes things and decisions so much easier. To all who are pregnant God Bless and I hope you continue to have an uneventful pregnancy. I lost my daughter Dec. 31st and I am still debating on what I should do. I have to speak with a doctor. My husbands family said I should try again without the myomectomy and my family thinks i should get it. I am going back and forth and researching on the internet what I should do. I am just so confused right now.

A myom. is a HARD surgery! If you dont have to have it, dont do it. But, it made ALL the difference for me and I know for everyone that was having horrible monthly cycles, it just makes life so much better! I am still on blood thinners b/c of a blood clot, so I am not TTC right now but the effect it has had on my periods has been Ged-sent. I know after having the myom. that the fibroids WERE preventing us from getting pregnant, but that was an after thought because I was so severely anemic. If your Dr. doesnt think it is necessary, exhaust your other resources before trying the myom. It is like a c-section, but you get fibroids instead of a baby...also it is tougher because your uterus is having to heal (mine was totally reconstructed and held open with a balloon). But, that's just my opinion! Good luck to all of you ladies who just had them and also those who are expecting soon!!! Hopefully we will have a wonderful Spring Break (early March, when we can TTC again) trip and come home with a life-long souvenir.

Hey girls, so I went in for my appointment yesterday and my doctor completely forgot he told me that we could do it on the 24th and when he went to schedule it the hospital was booked for the maximum of c-sections, so he told me that he would call the supervisor and see if they would approve one more. Well I got a call at 10:30 this morning asking if I would like to have the baby at 5 pm. I was so nervous and excited at the same time. So Kerrick was born today at 5:35 and weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. He is beautiful and made my 38 weeks of constant vomiting worthwhile. My doctor said my uterus had healed very nice from my myo. which was exciting to hear. I will say that my abdomen is so sore and I haven't been able to walk yet. I hope everyone is doing well. I have been praying for each of you.

What GREAT news we're receiving on this board!!!!! Hopeful, congratulations! I'm so happy for you. I was at a baby shower yesterday and the mom-to-be had a cantaloupe-sized fibroid removed a few years ago, and she is scheduled for a C-section on 2/4. So all things are possible . . . . Hopeful, you and Ms. Monet are providing me with much-needed optimism. Katarinak, congrats to you as well! Now you only have to look forward to healing and getting ready for a healthy pregnancy!
