Hi all. I know I've been absent for a while, but I was going through some things. Anyway, I have good news. I'm pregnant!! I'm 8w5d, and I'm due around mid-Dec. I've known I was pg for about a month, but I didn't tell anyone yet because I started spotting right arond 5 weeks. That was really scary, because I never had spotting with my prior pg. So I didn't want to get my hopes up. My first ultrasound around 5.5 weeks showed the sac, then I had another ultrasound at 6.5 weeks that showed the baby, and I just had another one this morning that showed everything is fine, and the baby's heart is beating away! I was spotting because I had a small blood clot (hematoma) on my uterus, but I guess it has gone away on its own because the doc didn't see it on the ultrasound today. The spotting has tapered off over the past two weeks, and hopefully it will go away altogether. And NO FIBROIDS!!! There was a small one that the surgeon never removed because of its size and location that's still there. But its so nice to have an ultrasound where they tell me my uterus looks "perfect." No looks of concern on the OB or ultrasound tech's faces . . . Anyway, I just wanted to share my news. I know I have a LONG way to go until December, and I am praying praying PRAYING that everything continues to go well. Will keep you posted!

CONGRATULATIONS Healing!!!! That is WONDERFUL news!!! It's so nice for people to come back to the forum and share good news... it gives the rest of us hope. I haven't even had my surgery yet but I'm already imagining in my mind what it will be like to be preggers again. I pray that all goes well with my surgery and I'm able to be in the early stages of my pregnancy by the time you have your little one!

Hello ladies Happy Mother's Day to all. I had a rough morning thinking about the loss of my daughter and it being Mother's Day. This month is the worst month for me because it's mother's day... I was supposed to get married May 24, 2008. However, my due date was May 22, 2008 so we rushed and got married early. Anyways enough about me. Healing I am so happy for you. I will have to go back and read your story. With this pregnancy take things one day at a time. Enjoy it and give praise to God for that little miracle you having growing inside you. Joker where are you haven't seen you post in a while I hope all is well. I am feeling much better after the myo. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I was at the hospital at 5:30 am. I don't recall how long the surgery was. The only advice I can give to KB and anyone else considering the surgery is prune juice or milk of magnesium the day after the surgery it will help you bowels. I will post more about the night of the surgery later. May God continue to Bless and keep all of you.

KM, I'm sorry that you had a bad morning. I can definitely relate. My DH decided that it would be best not to acknowledge mothers day because he thought that it would upset me. It actually upset me more that he didn't acknowledge it because it makes me feel like he doesn't consider me a mother. It's difficult... I carried my son and buried him... just because I have no living children doesn't mean that I'm not a mother. Oh, well... it will happen for us soon enough. Glad to hear that you're feeling better after your surgery. Hope to hear more pregnancy stories soon!

Congratulations Healing on your pregnancy!!!!!!!! This is just awesome news and you must be in 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th Heaven!!!!!!!! I am sooooooooooooo happy for you and your husband! I am also glad that the spotting stopped and there was a reason for it which is now resolved. I hope I'm right behind you! I thought I was pregnant and still have a chance but I took two pregnancy tests and they came back negative. Today is day 28 of my cycle and the fertility nurse said to test this Wednesday - day 31 in the morning for pregnancy. She said the pregnancy test would not work until this coming Wednesday. I guess I jumped the gun by testing twice - 5 days ago and then today - day 28. I have been feeling so nauseas for the past few days and thought this may be a symptom. However, it could be a symptom of my ovaries being overstimulated by the lupron - 10ml that I am injecting myself nightly in preparation for my first round of IVF which will begin in two weeks if I am not pregnant. The IUI was quick and painless almost two weeks ago and I was thinking we had a really good chance especially following the recent HSG. However, the not pregnant sign on today's test really has me thinking this time it didn't work. I'm still staying hopeful and prayerful for good news on Wednesday. Hopefully, I will also be pregnant! Again, all the best Healing!!!!!!!! Are you going to wait before telling all of your friends and extended family? This is truly another Blessing from God for you!!! Happy Baby News!!!!! :) Sasha~

KB I understand exactly what you mean. I wasn't sure if my husband was going to acknowledge it either but he did and I was so happy he did. I think you should tell your husband how you feel. It's better to let him know than hold it inside. he probably didn't say anything because he didn't want to upset you. I went for my post op appt. They took the liquid bandage off and said everything looks great. If I don't get pregnant withing 6 months they told me to come back. God willing I won't have to. PS it took me 1year and 8 months to get pregnant with my daughter and I am 26. God Bless to all trying this month. I will be able to try in August (the month I got pregnant with my daughter).

KM,
I'm so excited for you that you'll be able to ttc again very soon!!!! BABY DUST TO YOU (it's never too soon)!!! So is that about 3 months post-op that you can ttc? My dr initially told me that I'll probably have to wait 4 to 6 months post-op before trying but I've read plenty of others say that they started at 3 months. One or two extra months may not seem a big deal to some but to those of us who've waited this long it seems like eternity! Best of luck!!!

KB I know exactly what you mean when you say it feels like an eternity. The worst thing about it is even though you can try after 3 months that doesn't mean you are going to get pregnant right away so you have that wait as well. I am focused on redecorating my home so hopefully time will fly by and I can get pregnant easily. I think I deserve it after trying before for 1 year and 8 months. LOL... KB what date did you schedule your surgery?

My surgery is scheduled for June 24th. I'm just ready for it to get here already. ;-)

KB keep busy it will be here before you know it. Also, a word of advice take care of all you need to before the surgery because you really need to take it easy for about 3-6 weeks. I've been keeping busy by watching HGTV. LOL.

Question... I feel kind of silly asking this but I'm paranoid about everything now so here goes...
Did anyone get sick (cold or flu or anything) prior to the myomectomy? If so did you have to reschedule your surgery for a later date until your immune system built back up?
Seems like I read in an earlier post that someone go the flu a few weeks prior to the surgery and got well by their surgery date but they were forced to reschedule to a later date to make sure that their immune system was built back up.
My surgery is a month away but I woke up with a cold this morning. I have pretty bad allergies and sinus and my colds normally end up turning into really bad sinus infections and ear infections and etc. My regular dr won't prescribe me anything until it actually turns into an infection. I'm just worried because the last time this happened I ended up being sick for 2 months (HONESTLY). It started off as a sinus infection and then turned into an ear infection and then I got laryngitis. I had to have 2 rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it all. ARGH. I hope that this goes away quickly.

Hello Everyone. Hope all is well with everyone on this board. Well, its now been 17 weeks (the beginning of 5 months) since I had myo surgery and I feel really good. So we will be trying 5.5 months since myo in January to conceive. In my last post I mentioned that hub and I would be trying to concieve by the summer and summer on the calendar is only weeks away but we have moved it up since the HSG makes a woman very fertile. I am scheduled for a HSG on Monday morning to check tubes and everything after surgery because the doc suggested I have some periods before doing it and give time for that area to heal. We also plan to try in the days after that to conceive which is NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pray for me!!!!!!!!!!!. YEAH!!!!!!!!! So instead of June, we will be trying in May. I am really excited about it!!!! I can truly say that I am glad that I had the surgery because I can tell a difference in my menstrual cycle as well too. It made all the difference for me. My cycle was 5-7 days and has now been reduced to 3 days. Also, we will be leaving for the weekend to go to Dallas, TX on vacation to relax and get our minds ready for the occasion next week! We will be leaving in the morning going there and I am ready for it! KB, I hope that you feel better and I am thinking of you and know that everything will be just fine. Like KM Williams said, take it easy and be prepared to rest for some weeks. And please Enjoy that rest. I really enjoyed mine! Have a Great Weekend Everyone! Blessings!

Greetings All-Sorry, I haven't written in awhile. Been back to work for 2 wks now. Home today with my twins. I miss being around them 24/7 but enjoy getting alittle break. Time is moving by so fast. My twins are almost 4 months, already. Took them to the Ped. yesterday. Weight check, Height check and Immunizatiion shots. My son is so funny. He was all smiles and playing while the doctor was getting the needle ready. Then suddenly he received the shot. He looks over at me and rolls his eyes and starts crying loudly. Although, I lost all of my baby weight and more a few wks after delivery. I want to do situps. I ofcourse have a pooch. I was given the OK but after having a C-Section and Myo. I am alittle hesistant. Ugghh! Anyways, let me go and read the thread. JOKER-Hey, girl. Missed you... You know, you have been through it all with me. I feel like we have a special bond. Cheer up, B___tercup! Your day will come. On God's calendar... He has your name and date in which your dream will come true. His ways are not our ways! Be patient! SASHA-Keep the faith! I have walked a difficult road even during pregnancy but I made it. You have to hold on to just alittle faith no matter how things look. Claim your healthy pregnancy!!! And no matter what you go through... Know that God doesn't give you more than you can bare... I was told so many times during pregnancy that my fibroids could take the life of one of my twins or both. They lied and I made it through. KM WILLIAMS- You will have children. I just know it. You must know it yourself and believe it. Claim it, girl! HEALING-Miss you, girl! So happy for you!!! Yippee!!! Hows it going? What symptoms do you have? DAMA-Yeah, baby!!! Yes! Yes! Yes! God bless you!!! So happy!!! 4months!!! How do you feel? Hows it going? Girl or boy? Singleton or twins? I am sending lots of babydust to all of you!!!

Ms. Monet good to hear from you. Thank you for the words of encouragement I really needed to hear something positive. I hope all is well with you and the twins. Sasha I am sorry you aren't pregnant but don't fret things are going to happen for you. A-Miracle I wish you the best in getting pregnant this month. Who would have know trying to get pregnant would be so hard. LOL. I've been feeling down since Sat. due date is approaching (May 22). This is a question to all who have lost a child and is pregnant or delivered how do you do it? What I mean is how do you feeling during your pregnancy knowing you have lost a previous child for most of us your first? I know I am jumping the gun but I am soo scared. I don't know if this makes any sense. God Bless to all who are pregnant and those seeking pregnancy. Joker I hope all is well. Can't wait to hear from you.
