I keep wondering how is Joker doing ? Did anyone hear from her maybe on other website ?

Nope, haven't heard from Joker. I am also curious as to how she's doing. Hardly anyone from a year ago still checks in on the site.

Do any of you know about fibroids and red degeneration? I just had my first prenatal visit and ultrasound last week, at nine weeks, and they found a 12 cm fibroid on the top of my uterus. It wasn't there before that I know. I can easily feel the ma__s on the outside of my belly, and can even see it! They are sending me to high-risk in a couple weeks, for a full abdominal u/s and evaluation. They mentioned risk of the baby having impeded growth, but more scary-- They said the fibroid could outgrow it's blood supply and die. They said if the fibroid dies, I'll have contractions and lose the baby. What is your experience with this? The OB said if I lost the baby it would probably be between 16 and 22 weeks gestation. Do any of you know anyone that has experienced this late of a baby loss? Any advice? Thank you so much in advance!

Sasha777, I read your post about fertility diet. Have any of you seen any information about how to prevent fibroids from growing? I have one 12cm fibroid, am 9.5 weeks pregnant. Is there a way to prevent it from growing? I am a small person, and there isn't room for that thing to grow!

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry I haven't been around in such a long long long time. Long story short my computer wouldn't let me view the web page..but I got it fixed finally. I should have done something sooner but to be honest I have been feeling down on out for the longest time. Nothing new with me no luck with getting pregnant but don't worry it doesn't have anything to do with the MYO it is due to low sperm count. I'm working towards IVF now and I just had my HSG done and everything looked fine. I had one partially blocked tube and one tube was opened all the way so everything is good far as that.. I guess. I haven't heard from my doctor yet so I don't know what the next step is or when it will be put I will be logging on to keep you all updated. I don't know whats going on with you ladies because I haven't been through the posts since I last posted (long long ago) so I will have to go back and catch up and post to say whats up to all you ladies! Take Care everyone and I'm wishing you the very best!

EricaB, I did lose my little boy to degenerative fibroids located on top of my uterus at 21 weeks in March of last year. However, that is not to say that the same thing will happen to you. Everyone is different and everyone's experience with fibroids is different. The best advice that I can give you is to make sure that if you have any degenerative pain (for me if felt like sever, sharp gas pain but it didn't go away) then go to the hospital and DO NOT let them tell you to go home and take tylenol. I didn't know anything about fibroids at the time and the hospital sent me home telling me to take some tylenol. I lost my son within an hour of being released from the hospital that same day. My fibroids were buldging out too and to tell you how little I knew about them and how little my doctor told me... I actually thought that it was my baby. I would rub that hard part of my stomach and talk to it and I was 20 weeks at the time so I thought that it was my baby and one day I asked the dr. why the baby felt so hard and she laughed at me and told me that it was the fibroids. I was angry and annoyed and upset that I was given so little information about them. Anyway, I had a myomectomy to remove the fibroids in June of last year and am now pregnant again with hopes that it will work out this time. I still have one fibroid remaining and it was 2 cm the last ultrasound that I had back at 6 weeks. I'm now 12 weeks. Try not to worry. You may have no degenerative pain at all and your pregnancy will probably turn out great. Even if you do have pain I've read plenty of stories here on this post of women who've had pain that only lasted for a few days then went away and they went on to continue their pregnancies with no further problems. EricaB, I echo what KB said entirely. I lost my son at 16 weeks in March 2007 due to fibroid degeneration. The pain is very very sharp, the worse pain I've been in my life. And do not take Tylenol for it, like KB said, its not strong enough to stop the pain. If you let the pain linger, it could lead to contractions and then preterm labor. I would recommend finding a high-risk OB who has experience in fibroids. I totally regret not changing doctors once my fibroid situation intensified. A good doctor who is experienced in this would prescribe morphine and/or hospitalize you while you have the pain so that they can monitor the baby. Please continue to do your research - its so important to be proactive when it comes to fibroids and pregnancy. Good luck.

WELCOME BACK JOKER!!!! I was getting worried about you.

KM Williams - March 12

Hello where is everyone at? I hope all is well. I am 15 weeks today and happy. God Bless to all.

KB - March 13

Hi KM, I was wondering the same thing! I didn't realize that we were both 15 weeks on the same day? I was 15 weeks yesterday too! Is everything going well so far? How have your visits been so far? I keep getting sick for some reason but the baby's ok and everything is fine. Seems like I'm at the ER or the dr's office every week now for something but thankfully baby and I are ok. Hope that everyone else is doing well. KB

KM Williams - March 15

KB I am gald all is well with you and the baby. Sorry about the dr. visits. : ( As for me all is well. I've had 4 dr. appts so far. I met with a specialist about getting a cerclage (st_tching the cervix closed). However, he feels I don't need it. I have another appt. this Thursday. He wants to see me every 3 weeks to check my cervix, etc. At 14 week appt. ultrasound tech looked for s_x of the baby. Just a guess-a-ment but she thinks it maybe a girl. Just want a healthy baby. All the best and keep in touch.

Hello everyone I think I am the only one who is posting now-a-days. I hope all is well with everyone. Pregnancy is going well. Sasha haven't heard from you how is everthing, you to KB? Joker, haven't heard from you since the last post hope you and husband will be pregnant soon. God bless to all just wanted to check in.

KB - April 16

Hi KM! I still get the emails when anyone posts and looks like we may be the only ones left?! How is it going? I really hope that all is well with you. I'm 20 weeks today. Thank God I made it this far. Everything is going well so far. Actually I never knew that it was possible to feel this good during a pregnancy. I'm feeling very, very good right now. I only made it to 21 weeks the last time so if I can just make it through one more week I will have accomplished something that I've never accomplished before and that's making it past 21 weeks of pregnancy! I just pray that it continues to go well and that everything is going well with you and everyone else on this post. I'm having a boy!!! :-) KB

KM Williams - April 16

Congrats KB. I am so happy all is well with you and the baby. I made it to 19.5 weeks last pregnancy so for me to make it to 20 weeks that is the accomplishment. I am also 20 weeks today. Looks like you and I was ovulating at the sametime. Have you picked out a name? I am having a girl. I am considering the name Amaya. Last Sunday was really rough for me. I was having some discomfort. I was going to go to the dr. but was advise to take a motrin and prune juice. Who would have know that did the trick. Still went the next day to get my cervix checked all was well in that department. You and your family is in my prayers. Keep in touch. God Bless.

Hi guys, I am here as well, checking the forum every day. I am 19 weeks and 4 days today, following your footsteps. Going to Maternal Fetal Medicine every week for ultrasaund (just to make sure everything especially cervix is doing OK) Everything is looking good, no fibroids THANKS TO GOD !!!! I am thanking him everyday. They put me on weekly injections of progesterone, just to prevent from going into pre-term labor. I decided NOT to know the s_x of the baby. All I care for it to be healthy. Will have C-section at 39 weeks (first week of September) if Good will keep his hands over us. I just keep praying everyday. Good bless you all, you are all in my prayers. Love: Katarina

KM Williams - April 17

Katarina, I am so glad all is well in your pregnancy. As I stated before I pray for all of you. I was wondering what was going on. I check this site a few times a week and nobody posts. Don't wait for anyone just post so we can see how you are doing. I was going to the Atlanta Maternal Fetal every two weeks. However, since they were not going to put in a cerclage my main dr. didn't see the need in me going. I put myself on a semi bedrest. Haven't been out in awhile. I am going out this Sat (tomorrow). I am going to register at baby r us. My friends and family are hosting a baby shower June 20th. I am so excited. I know it's awhile from now but hopefully things go quickly. Many women love being pregnant but after you loose a child you just want the process over so you can have the end result you beautiful baby. As for knowing the s_x of the baby I was like you at first Katarina. I didn't want to know told my husband I wanted it to be a surprise. However, as soon as the dr. asked if I wanted to know I said yes without even thinking. My husband was so surprised because we talked about waiting but I wanted to know. I talk a good game but when it came down to it I folded. Joker where are you girl? I was so happy when you came back only not to hear from you again. I hope all is well. You are also in my prayers. Ms. Monet how are the twins? Everyone else how is everything. This forum used to be alive now it's dying a slow death. Don't have to chat everday just want updates. You Ladies have inspired me more than you will ever know. God Bless.
