A couple years ago, I had my tubes cut, burnt and my doctor is also saying it is irreversable. I read on an earlier posting that someones tubes reattached? I've had two months go by without having a regular period. Meaning, monthly was only one day in the past two months. SO, your telling me that people can get pregnaint after a cut and burn? It has crossed my mind that it could happen, and that is why I'm here.

Michelle - It can and has happened. Dr's may know alot, they may research, been through it for many years or flat think they know everything there is to know about a human body, but they are still in the dark on many planes of medical science. Everyones body is different and for reasons unknown some people's bodies repair themselves. Life will find a way...as they say in Jura__sic Park! :) Good luck to you.

Hello ladies, I am 31 years old I had a tubal done July 25th of 1998 after my 3rd child was born. I was forced to do so by my x husband who said we couldn't afford anymore. So I did it for him. I am now remarried to a wonderful man who has no children and would die to have one of his own even though he thinks of my 3 of his own. I have had 2 miscarriages in the past 5 years being with my new husband. I have always had abnormal periods since the first day I ever started my period at age 10. But since I had a tubal which they only cut and clampped it. I have had normal 5 day periods every 21 days. But just this past month I had two period first period was for 7 days long and 10 days later I had another which was very very light 4 day period. I don't understand what's happening here I did take a pregancy test which turned out positive but lines where very light. I am gaining weight and I have all symptoms of pregancy. I am scared but would love to have a baby. My second child I died on the table having due to severe toximia. She always died a few times on the dr.s but she is alive and well and so am I. I do believe in miracle's as for all of you should also. I pray that I am but if not that's ok to. I regret listening to my x husband and doing this to myself. Can anyone give me advice or talk to me it has bothered me ever since. Good luck to all.... my email is starluver_8@yahoo.com.

Hi again. I have been getting emails saying that I got replys to my posts but I can't access them. You can email me at: juanita62476@yahoo.com
I just wanted to give you a little more of an update. I got the results back from the ultrasound and I have been diagnosed w/ PCOD(polycystic ovarian disease) my Dr. is wanting to put me on a med that will induce my periods to make them regular, which in turn will get me to ovulate regularly & then put me on birthcontrol pills to control the cysts. He suggests that I get the reversal and have the cysts removed at the same time. Does anyone know if the reversal Dr. will do something like that? We were hoping to go to Dr. Perez in Rio Bravo, and I thought that I read some where that some one went to Dr. Perez and that afterwards they told them that she had some cysts on her ovaries and that Dr. Perez removed them as well.? Feedback will be great! Thank you.

hello everyone. First off, I just wan't to say wow and wow again. I just started to read this fourm a week ago, and not until then was I able to find any info about becoming pregnant after a tubal or what kind of symptoms other women were having after having the procedure done. And after reading this, I see that it is very possible. To answer christys question, I don't know just how common it is to become prego just after a tubal, but I can tell you this, 3 1/2 years ago both me and my cousin-in-law were both pregnant at the same time and she had twin girls in may2001 and I had my daughter in oct 2001. Well the end of 2001 she got her tubes tied and by 2002, she was pregnant again. Of course when she told me this naturally I didn't believe her, but low and behold, she gave birth to a baby girl that december. Now guess what, she just gave birth to another daughter on july 1st. So neither time did she have a problem with her pregnancies. I on the other hand had my tubes tied 1-27-02. Though i have not become pregnant yet, there were a few times during the past year that i thought i was. My period didn't start acting up until last year. It didnt come for three months and i had all of the symptoms. But sometimes it can be stress, harmonal imbalance or a host of other things. I really do want another child with my husband. My last two children are his and i would like another girl. I never thought that i would have these after i got them tied but i do and a lot of the time i dont know why. i find myself dreaming of babies all of the time/lol/ like i really need any more. My periods started out longer and heavier after the procedure, but this last year, it shortened to 2 maybe 3 days long, and i go through fits of moodiness and being angry for no reason. I tried to explain this to my husband, but he sometimes says that it's all in my head and i'll be alright. And as i am sitting here typing, my b___bies are hurting very badly, i had an episode where i was feeling very light headed and had to sit down and i've been very nausious. Just two days ago i had such a bad pain in my stomach, that i couldn't stand up and now i have a bad pain in my right side. When i got up this morning to make my kids some breakfast, i felt a lot of fluttering in my stomach. I didnt think anything of it, but after reading everyones story, i am satrting to wonder. Im not going to talk your ears off so christy, i hope this helps and if anyone has any input i would love to know. GB you all

If i were you, i would get in contact with a doctor and schedule an appointment. Just to make sure that first of all that its not a false positive, and to make sure that it is not an ectopic pregnant. Better to be safe than sorry. Let me know how it goes and good luck.

I really dont know the statistics numbers but, I work in the obstetrics dept. and also have had my tubes tied and was told that if you get your tubes tied right after delivery or c section that your chances of prgncy are greater because your body is in a stage of healing. So I guess if that is true that it wouldnt matter if you had your tubes burnt or not. I have not really had a normal period since my tubal 19 months ago. I have also started leaking from my b___st. Wich is why I even started thinking i was pregnant with my 19 month old. So I guess what ever the reason is for that will find out sooner or later. But i am not going to freak out. I wouldnt mind having another one if it is a boy. I dont think i can handle another girl.

Dorothy- I am considering a reversal don't have the money at this time do you know if there's a doctor out there that will take BCBS of texas insurance, most of them want you to pay out of pocket and then get remburse from the insurance co. I just don't think I will get pregnant with my tubes tied. I read all of these ladies question and I have hope that one day I will have another child. But if I get pregnant at 30 something I just don't know if I can handle it. Please Help.

Shanika- I know that not very many insurances will pay for the reversal. Some will, if the info provided to them shows that it is medically necessary that you get it done. But, I do know that BCBS of TX. will not cover it, at all! I am going to have my reversal next spring by Dr. Roberto Perez in Rio Bravo, Mexico. I was sceptical at first, but after MUCH research, that is the Dr. that we are going to let do our reversal. Dr. Perez has a website: www.riobravoreversal.com
Check it out!
