Tanya - Congrats ands Good Luck in TTC!! That is wonderful that you have nothing but positive things to say about your trip to Dr. Perez. Did you drive or fly? I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions. Are registered on Dr. Perez' forum? That's where I spend most of my time! If you drove how far did you travel from? We are planning on going to Dr. Perez for our reversal in March! And we are planning to drive, we are from Kansas. Anyways CONGRATS!!!!

I had a tubal done 4 months ago, just after the birth of my third son- and I, too have been having pregnancy symptoms, that's how i ended up here at this sight. But after reading through a lot of these two things have become apparent to me. #1, obviously it is possible to conceive after a tubal, but also not terribly likely, and #2, most women who are posting, including myself, are on some level regretting what they've done, and hoping against hope to be one of the very few who do conceive in spite of sterilization. While I know that with God all things are possible, I really think that most of the women who are posting all of their symptoms and wondering if they are pg after 3 or 4 negative tests need to step back and take a serious look at what's really going on. Perhaps the simple fact is, like i think it might be with me, we want to be pregnant, so we're convincing ourselves that we are experiencing symptoms that might not even be there. For the few that do get pregnant after a tubal, thank the Lord every day. And for the majority of us, if reversal isn't an option, enjoy the babies of others, and tell everyone you know what a mistake it is to have the surgery done. I really wish someone would have told me!

To Nellie: Your words ring true. I wish I never would have had the reversal done either. God wanted me to have one more child and in May that child was taken from me as it was stuck in my tied tube. I regret every day since then and pray for the answers to my whys??? I don't know if there is anyone on this forum that has experienced a eptopic pregnancy. If so...they know how devestating it can be.

I don't know how likely it is but I had my tubes tied 9 years ago and just had surgery for a 6 week ectopic pregnancy and it was no fun at all. I had a period and i had a lot of lower ab pain. I took the test at home and it came up positive. I have a large incision and had both tubes removed since i ruptured. I feel like c___p and i still have a month of healing to go.

It seems everyone here almost has regretted their tubal so much that they have formulated pregnancy symptoms almost monthly because they want a baby so much. In all these years I never regretted my tubal. I have one son. He's 19 yrs old. I had my tubal when he was dx with my bipolar disorder 6 yrs ago. I didn't want to pa__s it along to another baby. I haven't had a period in 9 years other than one after my tubal and one right before my cruise in the end of june of this year. which was very heavy and long. I always had one day periods when I had them years ago. So, anyway my b___sts have been sore for 5 weeks now. I didn't think a thing of it. Have had a bug for 2 weeks or so. All the typical symptoms. Just confirmed this morning I am indeed pregnant and it's not eptopic. I'm 38 yrs old. Have been divorced for 17 yrs and have had the same boyfriend for 6 yrs but we never intended to marry. Always to just be best friends and lovers. It works for us. Now I'm freaking out because I won't terminate the prenancy. But I have chronic servere back pain.. Live with a pain level of 9 on a scale of 1-10 daily on methadone and morphine every 8 hours and a neurostimulator implanted in my back. I'm scared I will have to go off my meds and spend the whole time in bed. I can't do this. BUt then again I have to. I'm freaking out.

I had a tubal ligation done in 2001. (tubes were burned) Past week I've had pregnancy symptoms. Nausea, vomiting, tender and swollen b___st, light headness, etc. If I am pregnant I will happy because I regret getting my tubes tied. Hoping I'm right

momto2 - October 4

i will not be happy if i'm pregnant i have 2 kids now ages 2 and 3 so i'm not looking forward to a infant i'm a full time stay at home home there father works 24 7 does'nt help out with the kids or house work enough and i strongly feel that if i was pregnant it would kill our relationship since were barely making it work now but thats a whole other issue on a good note every month i get my period i'm on right now so thats good for the thinking i'm pregnant thing but bad that i still feel the lumps at niight my lower stomach where every woman has those sets of lines still pokes out i still feel what seems like movement and i'm hoping like heck it's a tumor and not a baby since i got my tubes tied after i had my 2nd child because i always said i wanted 2 children granted she came a little early after her brothers birth and my moms death but 2 was my limit and i think i'll go crazy if i have another one i had a bab day with my kids thanks for letting me vent

carol - October 4

l had my tubes tied, got p/g 6mnths after --ectopic and retied them. now l am pregnant AGAIN. l am almost going crazy. we have 8kids btw us already thats why l tied them . can the doc be responsible for anything or thats my headache for being too fertile after paying 2ce for the surgery

momto2 - October 5

reply to :to this is it i'm wondering the same thing if they can be held responsable since i went to them and they did a regular home p g test on me and that was it because i had no insurance they did nothing else told me if i felt any sharp pains to go to the hospital did'nt care about the movement thing or nothing so trust me once i finally pay for some health insurance and get to the clinic and i turn out to be pregnant i will be contacting a lawyer

Paula - October 5

To THIS IS IT and MOMTO2: You can't really sue the doctors who did the surgery because they make you sign a form before you have it done that says that you understand that nothing is 100% other than having a hysterectomy. But of course you would think that it would be written somewhere that they have to inform you that it is a high possibility that you will have the surgery and still wind up pregnant at sometime down the line. I mean their little charts that describe all the sterilization methods says "You will never become pregnant again" next to Tubal ligation. Maybe we should all get together in one big lawsuit and sue the makers of those d__n charts. Good luck to everyone.

Shannon - October 5

My tubes were tied about 2 1/2 years ago, and I am not experiencing some symptoms of pregnancy. But the really big one here is that I have what is like my period, but it is darker and there are some fleshy like clots. If anyone can tell me what this is and what I shall do it would be appreciated.
