Cindy-first of all I am sooo happy for you and your husband!!! That is just too awesome. Regarding your progesterone level-I am 12 weeks pregnant and my doctor told me that as long as it doesn't go below 12 then they aren't extremely worried. I am taking progesterone as well and so far it is going good. About your cramping-I have abdominal pain all the time and I had this with my other two, very healthy boys so I am sure that this is just the natural cramping and pain you get when your uterus expands. As far as your other symptoms, you probablly know that sore b___bs are VERY common. As a matter of fact, my doctor told me that the progesterone supplements can increase your pregnancy symptoms. It can also cause abdominal pain as well. Just be thankful that you have these symptoms, that means the hormones are doing what they are supposed to be doing!! Hope this helps!

Melissa-sorry to hear about the spotting but I wanted to share my story so that you may feel better. With both of my other pregnancies, I spotted off and on throughout pregnancy. In my case it was because the placenta was lying over the opening of the cervix. I was not aloud to have intercourse, no houseworkn no lifting etc. until the placenta moved out of the way which, it finally did. I have also been on progesterone for all 3 of my pregnancies and I am considered high risk because I have alot of spotting and also have pre-term labor so I am already on restrictions like you. It is hard but think of it this way-when your baby is born you are gonna wish someone told you you couldn't do housework! Please, though-follow doctor's orders to a tee and don't worry too much about the Ultrasound-your doctor would have put you on bed rest if they found any reason for the spotting so I would feel very confident that she HASN'T put you on more restrictions or seemed more concerned. Your spotting could also be due to a vascular cervix-when you are pregnant, alot more blood pumps through that area and can cause you to spot-these are things I just tell you from my own experience so just hang in there and trust your doctor knows best. Good luck to you and I will be thinking of you in my prayers tonight!

I went to the ER and i am spotting and bleeding not much a pad a day with some clots. When i went in my hcg was 13,000 and then 14,000 and then a week later 9000, and last test 4000. Does this mean i lost the baby. they said they saw a sac and no baby and that i misscarried. What do i believe am i still pregnant or did i lose the baby? First they told me i lost the baby and then my level went up and now it is down. They did not give me progestorn like i am reading, should they have, and since they didn't, did they make me lose my baby. Someone please help me. michelle2spencer@hotmail.com

Kelly, thank you to responding to my questions. I see the doctor tomorrw. I guess they are going to do another U/S and tell me the results of the test I had drawn yesterday. My first U/S was last TU. They did not check for a heart beat and they did not see a baby on the U/S. The only thing that was present was a sac. My Dr. told me that my last Hcg was 7,000 which they said was a little high. My progesterone was 10.9 and they wanted it between 20 and 30. Is that really low? My fear is that the reason that they did not see a baby is because my progesterone was so low that a baby never developed. All of this wondering and worry makes me crazy! I wish I could just have an answer.

TRY NOT TO WORRY THAT ONLY MAKES IT WORSE. THE ONLY THING I DO NOT UNDERSTAND IS WHY THEY DIDN'T PUT YOU ON PROGESTERONE. IKNOW IT IS HARD WHEN YOU ARE IN LIMBO BUT I AM WITH YOU. I AM STILL SPOTTING EVERY DAY, BUT WE ARE STILL SEEING A HEALTHY BABY IN ULTRASOUNDS. SO EVERY DAY IS A STRUGGLE TO GO ON LIKE EVERYTHING IS OK AND IT IS HARD TO GET EXCITED ABOUT PREGNANCY. JUST TRY TO THINK POSITIVE, BUT YOU MUST QUESTION YOUR DOCTORS! SOMETIMES WE MUST REALIZE HOW LUCKY WE ARE TO BE ABLE TO GET PREGNANT!!! I WILL BE THINKING OF YOU TOMMOROW!

Hi, I have a question, I used progesterone suppositorires for 2 yrs (only 8-10 days while ttc) and I am now prego, and have been using the suppos now for 2.5 weeks and have had a lot of pink/confetti type spotting. I had a little of this while ttc but it's a lot more. I have had 2 natural m/c and this is nothing like that, that was brown spotting not red, and so I feel it's just the progesterone and hormone irritating me ... anyone else back that one up? I have had NO cramps at all, and no pain, saw a sac at 5weeks, and have another u/s tomorrow. My pharmacist said, even a pill form will make you spot.. anyone else find this type of spotting while on the progesteone? I am now 6w3d and my prog levels are super, were 46 last week at 5w3d.. so they're not low..

Wow! I am 5w6d and just got my bloodwork results. My progesterone level is 1.8 and hcg is 26. She said they were low but I didn't realize just how low until I started reading around. Strangely low. I was already scheduled for an u/s this afternoon so I guess I'll probably go just to see what's going on in there. The waiting has been killing me....I knew something was up. I miscarried in December at 8wks but had no signs until the bleeding began. No spotting yet this time, but I guess it's only a matter of time. Sounds like I will be seeing our local specialist for progesterone supplementation next time. I know a few gals who have had success with him. This is sad...I'm a little numb...but not as shocking and devastating as last time. If this one isn't going to make it, I hope it will sort that out soon....I definitely want to pa__s it naturally. I wish you all well.

I am so glad that there are others out there in the same situation. I am 5w4d and I had a blood test yesterday and my progesterone level dropped from 25 the week before to 10. My specialist put me progesterone capsules to be taken v____ally twice a day and I am praying this works. This is my first baby and I am extremely nervous about loosing it. I have severe endometriosis and have had to deal with that for several years which caused complications for getting pregnant, but now that I am pregnant I just pray that my progesterone level goes back up so I don't loose this baby.

Moredd, I am so sorry to hear your news. Ugh...no words can really say it. I lost one in Dec at 8wks and with my current low levels at 6wks, am surely on the way to miscarrying. Very sad. My heart goes out to you.

Morred-I am so very sorry about your misscarriage. There is nothing I can say and I know it hurts so much more to have seen a heartbeat and then lose the baby. That is what happened to me in my first misscarriage-saw a heartbeat at 7 weeks and lost it at 9. Please take care and keep in touch-all our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi. For anyone who read my first statement on this page, I had my second doctors appointment with my new doctor last Tuesday. I was so nervious that there wouldn't be anything there anymore since I had only been on the progestrone for not even a full two weeks, but the baby is still there! They didn't draw blood again yet to see if my levels climbed from 7.2, but I know the hcg levels were good. But anyhow, the ultrasound showed the heart beat went from 124 the first visit to 175 in about two weeks! And it grew to 3 inches long! We could see the little arms and head moving, so exciting! I'm only 9wks 5dys but I am already getting excited about getting the nursery together and the house cleaned really well, could also be approaching spring, but this medication keeps me down, the dizzyness, the tiredness, more sick to my stomach, more intence ach in the b___sts. But best wishes to all who are still in the "mommy" boat, and never give up hope to those who have to try again, keep positive, it really does help! Next week is my third appointment, have my fingers crossed! The doctor was positive in telling me he thinks I have less than 1% misscarriage rate right now and that after 12wks I should have a regular womans pregnancy.

Moredd..I am so very sorry to hear of your loss;( ..I can't begin to understand the pain you have gone through with all of your losses..I just went through my first m/c 3 weeks ago and can't imagine going through another one..you must be an incredibly strong woman! Have the doctor's said they could do anything about your recurrent M/C's? The reason I am asking is I have a friend who had an irregular shaped uterus causing her to have multiple m/c's and she had surgery to correct it and now has a healthy baby girl...I am sure you are being followed closely, but wanted to share that information. You are certainly in my thoughts..and again, I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
