Hi, i an about 8 weeks now and yesterday, when i woke up in the morning, i had a very light pinkish when i wiped, i was freaking out and and about 5 mins later i wiped again and it was brownish red, it's not staining my panties just when I wiped. I called the Dr and she said nothing to worry, call in on Mon morning for an ultrasound. So the spotting went on and off all day. No cramping or pain, still ahve the pregnancy symptoms, tender b___st etc. Even took a another pregnancy test, positive. I wasn't myself, I read all the books, online all day, Monday seems like forever to get here. This morning, I woke up with more brownish red and i called the dr again and she said that I will just waste my time going to the ER today so, just wait till Monday. I've been reading a lot about the Blighted Ovum, the symptoms are very similar to what I have. Wish me luck tomorrow, I'm hoping and praying that everything will be alright and if it doesn't, i guess it wasn't meant to be. Will keep posted.

Just found out I'm Pregant and two day's ago I went to a amus____nt park and road on roller coasters do that put my baby in danger?

Update: Went and had US this morning and saw the fetus, 7 weeks and 3 days and strong and fast heart beat. I am much happier now but still keep my finger cross until I am over this first trimester. The nurse said spotting in early pregnancy is common and not to worry about dark brown, light brown spotting, it could have been old blood, blood from previous pregnancy, intercourse (which I had 2 days before I spotted), so, I hope any of you out there that are still looking for answers, call your dr and if you;re still not sure abut it, insist on having the US done right away.

7 weeks pregnanct and spotting similar to you but it started in weeks 6 and hasn't stoped. My gyno is conducting ultrasounds each week to make sure the fetus is healthy. so far so good. You should be getting weekly check-ups untill you sto spotting.

this is my first pregnancy; i started spotting 1 week after i found out i was pregnant. I am now almost 7 weeks and have not stop spotting for 2 1/2 weeks- The blood is brownish-red, and sometimes there are clots of brown. I had an appointment last week-and they said everything looked fine; that i am closed, and the ultrasound showed the heartbeat. My next appointment is in 5 weeks in Sept. Just wondering if anyone else has clots of brown blood (small) or should i call my docotor. I am so nervous, do not know anyone who every went through this, and am very scared of having a miscarriage.

Michelle- I have the same thing but was diagnosed with a subchrionic hematoma. My bleeding has been brown, bright red, dark reddish brown and pink. My clots can be as big as walnuts sometimes. I am 10 1/2 wks (had this since 5 1/2 wks)and my doctor has me coming in every two weeks to keep an eye on the hematoma. I have had 4 ultrasounds and so far everything looks good with the baby. You might want to call your doctor and ask them if they can check on your bleed for peace of mind. If it is what I have, it needs to be monitored. Good Luck and God Bless!!

i'm in my 8th week and i'm spotting brown big time! i have a dr. appt. on friday so i should find out if everything is okay. i spot just about every other week, but today was a heavy flow of brown discharge. i've heard that it could be old blood from menstration. i'm nervous of miscarrying. i've had pain in the back of my legs. isn't that a symptom of miscarrying?

i'm 32 weeks pregnant and having a light pink spotting it's that normal?

i have had spotting i am 7 weeks preg and the doc said it was normal. i heard the heart beat and it sounds great. im sure you will be fine but you should talk to your doc,just to ease your mind.

I am 8 weeks into my first pregnancy at 37 years old (eek gads) and have been having the brown spotting for the past 3. Having ultrasound on Aug. 31. (counting the days!) The Blighted Ovum and Molar Pregancy thing has me really creeped out and anxious. Friends say to quit reading so much. It also seems like my b___sts aren't as swollen or sore as they were in the beginning and have yet to experience any morning sickness. I feel bloated, but not pregnant (not that I would know what that feels like anyway) Have read that signs of pregnancy will fade with Blighted Ovum. Am I being paranoid? Tried to call Dr. this morning but office was closed. Arrrgh!

elise, neally 2 yrs ago i was 71/2 wks preg and started having just a light pinkish brown disscarge when i wiped, had ultrasound after ultrasound and each one bub had a heartbeat but was smaller every time, at 9 wks i had pains that bad i went for another and bub was finally gone! I went straight to hospital, because i leaked for long i ended up in hospital for 3 days on a drip cause it caused a major infection in my womb, i was told that it might have caused damage to my tubes but i am 28 wks preg now but because of the infection and the dnc i now have a low lying placenta, which has caused bub to be tranverse ( which can also be dangerous) and in lots of pain all the time! Docs told me that i might not lose bub but i might too and i did, so i guess i;m saying there is always hope but prepare urself, if u leak to long it could cause major problems and no one told me that. I lost all Sensations of being pregnant and didn't realise. Don't mean to scare u just thought i'd inform u on the dangers of leaking if u r losing it, Fingers crossed for u good luck.

Hey, today is my B-day. i would really like to understand what is going on. I went in for a Pap Smear and exam on Tues and starting spotting very lightly with some lower back pain (what I usually have before my period). It has continually gotten worse. I am spotting more heavier (I am wearing a pad). I had an ultrasound yesterday (Friday), they did not find anything unusual. I still had a gestational sac. I am growing increasingly scared. How much spotting is TOO much? How much cramping is TOO much? I have read about HCG levels. I think I should go check mine out. What should they be at with being 5 1/2 or 7 (LNMP) weeks pregnant. Do you think they could pick up a heart rate? Help!

hi, dont worry. I had the same problem, i had fairly more blood then spotting in the first 10 weeks, I am ok now, it doesnt always mean you will miscarry, stay in bed your legs up and stop worrying, will be fine. xxx

I am 5 weeks pregant, through IVF. I started bleeding, enough to fill a panty liner. It was bright red. I called my doctor, terrified. He said there is nothing I can do until my ultra sound next week. The bleeding stopped the very same day. I am scared to death. I have already had one miscarriage. The only rea__surance I have is that there was no pain with it. But it doesn't make it any easier.

well , i think you sholld not worry about it since it is not bleeding . i am in my fifth week and after i wiped when i went to the toilette i saw some boold spot and it was brown so i called my mom immedialtly she said it is normal and dont worry do wahtever you want to do and she was worried at all. also i called my doctor and she said that it is normal tooa nd she wasnt concerned at all. she just aked me if i am bleeding and if i have some pain i said no so she was very quite and not concerned at all so i think it is normal . any way i have a sonogram tomorrow and hope things will be fine. we wil lback with you ..

I am 5 wks preg now and I have been spotting every two days (today red).US done and they said can't see sac or anything..Just a cyst.Will do next blood test in 3 days to compare to see if HCG levels rising properly.Also light cramping.Has anyone had an ultrasound at 5 wks that showed no sac at all? I am also worried about the cramps and spotting.Worried cyst may be the baby (in tubes I think she said).Will go back for 2nd us in one week.Very worried..What should an us detect at 5 wks?
