Sharon, thank you so much for your kind and informative reply. I appreciate your encouragement and prayers very much. I have an appointment to see a new doctor next week. And yes, I still feel quite pregnant, as the morning (all-day!) sickness is still in full b__wn mode. :-) I'll keep you posted, and thank you again for your kindness.

Hi, my name is Nat and i was diagnosed with a subchronic Hematoma at 16 weeks pregnant8 1/2 inches. Of course how i found out was i woke up one morning bleeding and went to the hospital and they sent me for a scan. That is when the hematoma was discovered. The hospital were going to send me home then i had a very heavy bleed and they thought i was miscarrying. I stayed in hospital for two weeks then i was allowed to go home. I was signed off work until after the baby was born. I had to go and see the consultant every 3 weeks for scans and check ups. Where i never got any answers, then they thought my baby had either cystic fibrosis or downs syndrome, so it was more tests and three weeks of worry while the test results came back. Every thing was fine. I spent alot of my pregnacy in hospital as i kept having episodes of bleeding and as i am O RH Negative i had to go to the hospital every time for anti D. I do know that they is not alot that the consultants can say on the matter apart from rest, i used to be told constantly that i had come this far. Which drove me mad as they dont know the worry that you are going through. When i finally reached 31 weeks pregnant i was admitted back into hospital with more bleeding then i started having contractions so i was taken down to the delivery suite given my steroid injection (you have it in two doses 24 hours apart to mature the babies lungs) hooked up to a monitor told that if my baby was going to be born then there was a place for him in SCBU. The contractions stopped and i was told to stay in bed and not move, finally they released me on the Weds and i was back in on the Saturday they kept me in unti the monday, i went home in pain as i also had poly hydramos which is too much fluid around the baby and they couldnt drain it for fear of premature labour, (so i felt like a ticking time bomb). I was back in hospital on the Wednesday in labour my son was then born at 11.03pm on 10th August 2005 at 32 weeks and 5 days. He was ok he had to go into special care for three weeks but in the end it was so worth it. So at least i know that i was not the only one out there who had such an awful pregnancy.

i had both the subchorionic bleed, miscarried, and spotted before they told me high t_tres of ana....after three children now, and one miscarriage, what is my ana is still high? What questions shoujld I ask to make sure they dont wait for me to miscarry before sending me to additional doctors? should i just come out and ask them to test for ana. Does this mean I have antiphosphilid syndrome?

i havent been diagnosed but have been bleeding for 3 days on and of the doctor said my cervix as opend abit but scan shows my baby has a good heart beat i am 11weeks and 2 days it started of red gussing lasted about 20 mins then went to dark brown like a normal period docto said it could be a threatend miscarrige and that i will just have to wait and see what happens is there any one else who has had the same symtoms but has carried there baby to term

Kathryn - January 5

Kelly - hello, sorry you are going through this. Yes I have had the same as you and had a lovely little baby boy 3 weeks ago so there is hope. He was 38 weeks and 8lb 6oz so these hematomas do not always cause problems. My bleeding was so heavy at one point that I was admitted to hospital and told that they couldn't even see my cervix due to so much blood loss. I had two fairly large hematomas as well. Sounds like although it is a 'threatened' miscarriage you too could have the same thing as the symptoms sound the same. I hope it works out and remember that despite the bleeding the odds are in your favour now you have made it this far. HTH. Kathryn

Kathryn-I was so pleased when I checked back in to this site and saw that your baby boy was here! Congratulations!!!! He sounds healthy and wonderful. What a fun little Christmas surprise. My boy is now 7 weeks and it seems a long time ago that I was first told about my SCH at 8 weeks. I was reading about what others are going through right now and all the emotions came back. I am truly thankful for my positive outcome to the whole thing. I was so scared. We all were... Waiting really is the hardest part. Everybody keep your chin up and keep yourself surrounded with a positive support system and good Drs. Children really are a reward and when you have been through the "SCH journey" no one recognizes that better than you will. Blessings to you all this comming New Year!

Sabrina - thanks for your message! I have also been diagnosed with post-natal depression so not all great news but I am taking my tablets and hope to feel like 'me' again soon. I link it to such a worrying pregnancy definitely so anyone else out there be on the lookout. Chat soon. Kathryn x

Justine - January 12

Kathryn - Congratulations on your baby boy. Sorry to hear you're on the anti-depressants as well - I am too though for panic (an OCD) rather than depression, I'm sure its linked to a stressful pregnancy too - I did IVF-ICSI as well as having a hematoma. Sophie is really happy though and lovely. She smiles all the time. Sabrina - Glad to hear you're doing well.

Sharon - January 13

Shumen, Im sorry to hear about what is happening to you. Hang in there. Im sure if you have read a few of these stories you will realised anything can happen. Quite a lot seem to have a positve outlook.I understand how you feel but keep positve by the fact that you have come this far.Its hard I know but remember stress isn't good either and tell yourself what is going to happen will but hopefully with a positve outlook. My prayers are with you let me know how you go.

Shumen - January 20

Hi Katie , Do not worrry , everything will be alright . Good news is your hemotoma has decreased . Most of them here have had the same and there were lot of positive outcomes , where they have carried the baby full term . Am in my 27 th week , my blood clot is still there . Doctor has put me on medium risk pregnancy . They are closely monitoring me every month . My prayers are with you . Thank you ,
