I had my baby about 2 weeks ago and despite all the complications I had-kidney stones, 2 stents and 6 weeks bedrest in the hospital, I kind of miss being pregnant! I really enjoyed it and I just wondered if any of you felt the same.

When I was pregnant I had a lot of complications too, which included a nasty blood clot where I had to get injections in my belly every single day until I delivered... but oddly enough, I miss being pregnant too. LOL :-)

My son is 9 weeks old and yes, I miss being pregnant. I miss it because I am overweight and my appet_te was significantly diminished and I craved food that was good for me. I lost 40 pounds. Now, my appet_te is back and I am gaining the weight back.

I'm so glad you guys feel the same!! At first I thought it was the hormones talking! Our plan is to try again when our baby girl is about 15-16 months old. We'd like them to be about 2 years apart. Secretly, I'd love it to be sooner...but from a practical standpoint I know it would suit us best with a little bit more time in between. I think my company would kill me if I got back from maternity leave and said, oh, PS...I'm pregnant again!!! LOL!!

Yes, there's a certain sadness about not being pregnant anymore. Even before I had my baby boy (6 days ago), I recall at one of my last doctor's visits being told not to stress about the impending birth (I'm 47 and had gestational diabetes, and was worried about some of the potential risk factors a__sociated with labor and delivery), and to enjoy the latter part of my pregnancy. Since this was my sixth pregnancy, I knew what she meant; savor the remaining moments. I can even remember telling my co-workers, when they were saying how well I had done throughout my pregnancy, I wish there was a pill I could take to feel that good all the time. Sigh!!! So, it's easy to relate to your sentiments of wanting to do it all over again. It's such a pure, HEAVENLY feeling!!!

Pam-I know exactly how you feel. I just gave birth to my 4th child on March 8th. I had a rough pregnancy as well. I had a shortened cervix at 21 weeks, stayed in the hospital a few days and was put on modified bed rest for a few weeks. I also had to take brethene which is aweful! At 30 weeks I went to the hospital again with contractions and was dilated 1 cm. My Dr told me at my 36 week visit, he would check me and considering if I was dilated enough he would go ahead and induce. Well, needless to say at that visit I wasn't dilated any more than I was at 30 weeks! I was in tears that I would have to wait another 4 weeks to give birth. Also, since my 30th week, I suffered from the worse insomnia, back pain, and pelvic pain I can imagine. It was a struggle to move in bed and even walk. All I wanted to do was hurry up and give birth!! I finally convinced my Dr to induce me the day I turned 39 weeks. I was sooooooo glad it would finally be over. Now that my little guy is here, I miss feeling him inside of me. I even have thoughts that I wish I hadn't convinced my dr to induce me early, because I could have had a little more time to be pregnant. I love my little one, and I love looking at his tiny face and kissing him, but I still miss the feeling of having him in my womb dispite all the problems. It's also hard for me too because being this is the 4th, my husband and I have decided he will have a vasectomy. Hopefully the "empty" feeling will subside. Best of Luck!
