I looked great my whole pregnancy and didn't think I put on much weight. After the delivery I still had a belly obviously but had dropped a lot of the baby weight from giving birth. 4 months on and I seem to have just put more weight ON after having the baby. This happened to anyone else? I was looking forward to being thin again but I just feel so fat......NOTHING fits me and the thought of buying clothes BIGGER is just depressing and seems a waste of money because I really want to get back to my old self but I feel like I"m getting bigger and bigger......

joey-
Yes, I can relate.
I lost 31 lbs during my pregnancy, I felt so beautiful and healthy (Iam overweight). I was getting comments left and right about how much weight I was losing (keep in mind this was DURING my pregnancy).
IAfter my c-section, September 5th, I dropped another 15lbs....now it is 4 months later and I am 35 lbs heavier!!!!
Im so depressed, when i got home from the hospital 4 months ago I could believe how small i looked, I thought to myself, "finally I lost weight!!! after all these yrs of yo-yo diets, all it took for me to loose weight, was to get pregnant!!"
Now look at where Iam 35 lbs heavier and look swollen as a pig.. I cant fit my clothes, I cant even fit my MATERNITY CLOTHES!!!!, they're too small!!!!
But I also know that part of my probably is that I have been eating out almost everyday because with my 4 month old and my husband working evening (so im like a single mother) I have no time to cook decent dinners. I pick up junk on my way home from work everyday..Its so hard but soon I will find a balance to where I can start cooking healthy again and hopefully this weight will come back off becuase this is just so depressing.

I feel the same way, but I keep hoping that as soon as they start crawling I will drop weight. Winter is rough too becasue I can't just take them out for a walk.

Reachbree--I agree that you probably are gaining weight from eating out so often. You say that you feel like a single mother? Well, I *am* a single mother of a 3 1/2 month old, I live on the other side of the country from my family (so it's just me and the baby), I work full-time, and I hardly ever eat out. I manage my diet by planning ahead (way ahead) and being organized. For instance, I make a large dinner on Sunday (or two) and use the leftovers to eat the rest of the week. For instance, a large lasagna or a chicken dinner. And, I also make myself sandwiches (usually turkey or tuna) to take to work for lunch.
