Fitness After Pregnancy

Redi - February 2

Hi, I unfortunately went into premature labor and had a va___al delivery at 21 weeks on 1/25/06. My baby was too young and did not survive. I am trying to get myselft together and occupy my mind. I like excersize, and I am very concerned that I may be excersizing too quickly. On 1/26 I did a short jog and some ab excersizes and today I did the 35 minute Cardio Blast (TaeBo). I am 30 years, I feel okay, but my older, female family members say I should not be excersizing yet. I pray that I have not damaged my body and hurt future chances on having a healthy pregnancy. Any advice??? thank you guys

Redi, sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers are with you. Not sure of the v____al delivery but on a csection you need to wait 6 weeks. I would imagine on v____al delivery you should wait atleast 3-4 weeks before starting up any workout program. I would call your dr for further info. on this...good luck.

Redi, yes that is very sad. My prays are also with you. In regards to excersizing, I would listen to your body. I like you felt fine after my labour (full term) and started excersizing right away. Everyone told me I should be waiting for 6 weeks. I didn't listen and when I went to my Drs. for the 6week appt. she said that I was fine since I had no complications during birth. Again listen to your body. IF your tired you should relax. Good luck on future pregnancys
