Losing The Tummy

Hi, I am 24 years old and had my first child on April 3rd. I was at 180 pounds and now am at 164 pounds. Before I was pregnant I weighed 130 pounds and I am going crazy because I feel so fat. My tummy isnt going back to normal and still has the line down the middle...I forget what it is called...any good ideas to get rid of this tummy fat?

My "miracle" was b___stfeeding...tummy is still flabby and I am too tired to do anything about it...but the weight is gone.

I also remember reading DON'T try on your "pre-pregnancy" jeans until at least 12 weeks post-partum...I am guessing it takes that long for the uterus to finish contracting. Hang in there...you JUST had a baby!

I do 2 sets of 15 crunches each night, and my tummy seems to be going down nicely. I only have a roll when I sit down. I am 5 weeks PP

The women in my family all swear by using a faja or girdle all day except when you shower. Get one of those that start under the bust line and have the eye hooks. It should feel tight. Anyway, they all swear by it and I just bought one through ebay so we'll see if it works. :)

Mryn i feel your pain! I have 20 pounds to loose as well before being back to my pre-preggo weight. I am now almost 6 weeks pp and started a 3-times-a-week work out routine last week that varies between cardio (epiliptical and walking) and floor excersizes (yoga or pilates). No word yet obviously if this will work, but try to not stress too much. It will take some time for sure to lose it but if you try your best i'm sure things will take care of itself eventually.

hi, i started wearing a girdle the 2nd day after delivery.. my tummy has almost come back to its shape. i still do have fat there. and my weight has gone down by just 16 pounds still another 20 to go.

Hey ladies.. sharing in your frustrations. I am 5 weeks pp and am down to 136. .130 is pre preg weight. I am fitting into some of my fat clothes but that DARN ROLL is driving me NUTS. I sit down and it appears. I still have that line too, which is weird because you could not see it while I was preggo. Need to figure out a way to get that to go away. I had csection with son and was really really ill after, so actually went way down in weight.. didn't have to deal with it. This time I am wondering what to do. I need to get out and exercise but am soo tired. DD is waking up every 2-3 hours.. depending on the day. Does a girdle help to get rid of that flab? I don't have alot of bulk there.. mainly when I sit.. Good to know we are not alone in this !!!

I did cruches and sied crunches and it worked wonders but my dr and friends that work in the medical field all reminded me that it takes 2 years for some people to lose that last bit of fat.
