i was wondering if anyone elses baby cries during a bowel movement. my lil guy is 2 weeks old and his poop looks normal, he has no rash and yet he hollers when he poos...any help would be appreciated. i am going to call my doctor just in case but i would still like anyones input if possible. thx in advance! ^.^

As a matter of fact my baby also poops while he crys and i was wondering the same thing my self...especially when he lets out gas he crys like it hurts him....im sorry but i cant help you on this one because im wondering the same thing! Plz let me know what your doc says! thankyou

Maybe you babies are a bit uncomfortable and scared by their bowel movements. After all they've never had to use those muscles before. Also, by normal poop, what do you mean? Breastfed babies should have runny, mustard colored poo by two weeks, and formula fed babies should also have runny poo that is a bit browner in color. If your baby's poo looks solid, he is probably constipated in reaction to his formula, or possibly something you ate, if you are nursing. Good luck.

My friends baby was doing the same thing. He was consitpated.
