I was just wondering if anyone else has gotten nightmares after birth. I had a few while pregnant and just had the worst one ever - literally. I'm really hoping it's just hormones and I will never get one like this again!

Hey Suzie, how are things with you?! I'm doing fine. Very sore nipples with the b___st feeding but Martha and I are getting on great. She's the best thing ever to happen to me, apart from marrying my husband. Sorry, but I can't remember your daughter's name. At the moment she's sleeping through til about 4/4.30am which is good for me. Neets x

Hi SuzieQ,
I am 8 weeks postpartum from having my first child. I have had many nightmares as well as weird dreams since giving birth. I am not sure if it is hormones or if it is just my mind's way of reacting to such a huge change in my life. I hope that you don't get any more.

I have had 2 or 3 nightmares about losing my son since he was born.He is now 6 weeks old. It scared the heck out of me and when I woke up and saw little Noah lying there sleeping peacefully I just broke into tears of grat_tude that it was only a terrible nightmare.

I haven't had nightmares but every night since the baby has been born, I've had some kind of creepy weird dreams. I a__sume it's from getting much less sleep and being up every two hours. Probably just interrupting that REM sleep. Combining that with all the hormones.

My oldest is 5 and I still have nightmares. Some are about someone taking one or both of them and I am chasing them trying to get htem back and no one will help me or stop the person who has them, and other dreams I am taking my kids and running from someone who wants to hurt them and me. I hate them and I haven't had one in a while. When I do I have to get up and check on both of my boys and make sure they are ok. I am due with a girl soon and I hope the dreams don't make a reappearance anytime soon.

I haven't had a nightmare since giving birth, but I had them almost every other night while pregnant-I'm prone to them because I have an unusually high rem cycle and have had them my whole life. Wow-hormones of pregnancy plus propensity for nightmares equals ugly results. :)
