I delivered 3 days ago and my ankles are HUGE!! I am so swollen. I did not have any swelling in my feet or ankles during pregnancy. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions as to what to do? Thanks!

I too can relate to that. For about 1 1/2 weeks after I had my son my ankles were huge. Try to get your feet up more. When you can of course. My ankles got real bad right after I had him. I was alittle swollen while I was pregnant. From being filled with fluid in the hospital made more. It will go away. It got worse for me then got better. Good Luck. Keep in mind if it doesn't improve call your dr.

Thanks D! I seem to be having a little improvement with the swelling. I still have it but it has gone down quite a bit. Like you said, it must be the fluids from the IV. I have tried walking around as much as possible to get rid of it, and it does seem to help.

Glad it is calming down for you. I got very worried when all of a sudden my ankles and feet were more swollen then, then when I was pregnant.

I had the same thing happen, about 2 days after I left the hospital. I started having really bad night sweats too, though the more I sweat, the smaller my feet got! It got pretty bad for about 4 days - I could barely see my little toe. Best help for it was to soak my feet in a warm tub of water and Epsom salts, and to get my hubbie to ma__sage them for about 10 min each foot, twice a day. Good luck - it will pa__s!
