Miscarriage Pg1266553205

My last period was on December 21, 2009 and my cycles we generally 31-34 days long. I got a positive HPT on January 21, 2010. The pregnancy was confirmed four days later and my hcg levels were 728. I had blood work done yesterday(February 17) and went in for my first ultrasound today. They did a transva___al ultrasound and found a sac, but no baby. The doctor kindof pressured me into scheduling a D&C, so I scheduled it for Monday. Now, I'm having second thoughts. Prior to a few days ago, I've had sore and growing br___ts, darkening nipples, bloating, and constipation, but I haven't been sick. Around Sunday night(Feb 14) I started feeling nauseated and since then I have been very nauseated early in the morning and late in the evening. Another thing is bothering me is that the doctor said that they couldn't find a baby in the sac, but then also told me that the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. My question is how does he know the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks if they couldn't find a baby on the ultrasound? I haven't had any symptoms of miscarriage yet. In your opinions, do you think I should wait for my body to miscarry naturally or maybe get a second opinion or go ahead with the D&C?

Hi ofallxtoxpieceso It sounds like you might have a bligted ovum, which means that a gestational sac develops without a baby. But I to feel that your doctor is contradicting himself by saying that the baby stopped growing at 6 weeks. If I were you I'd go for a second opinion, do another sonar to confirm that there is no heartbeat. And if that is the cast I'd recommend a D&C. I know its not a thing that any pregnant women wants to even think about, but if you are having a m/c a D&C and end the waiting and wondering. Because after the D&C you know everything is out and that you can give it about 4-6 weeks for you next cycle to start. I do hope that everything is fine and that you will not need to go through this. Please keep us updated. Lots of baby dust.
