Hello All, Im new here. I have a D&C done on the 1st June, and it is now 5 wks and still no period. I had no bleeding after the hospital, only dark red blood from s_x 9 days later, and faint pink blood on day 14 and 16. Six days after the D&C my fiancee and I have been having s_x daily, without protection. We both want a baby so bad, and I feel I'm ready in my body to try again. Our Surgeon did say to try again after a cycle or two, but we just couldn't wait, especially after reading up on forums on successfull babies coming straight after D&C ops (and how fertile you are after D&Cs).
My question is, is your cycle expected between 4-6wks or 6-8wks? And, when should a Pregnancy Test be taken? Will I still have HCT or whatever hormones still present, will this make the test be a false positive?

I forgot to add that I 'feel' sometimes that I could be pregnant for the below reasons:
1. I am 25 and have only EVER been able to orgasm when I've been pregnant (only once so I've only had an orgasm 4 times). I had a orgasm two days ago.
2. Sometimes I feel a stretch in my lower adominal muscles.
3. My b___bs feel a bit tender sometimes in bed when I'm trying to get comfortable (I have size 16E b___sts)
4. I'm very teary and down lately.
5. This is probably unrelated but I've been having a burst of baking urges and made cakes on the weekend of which I hadnt done in YEARS.
6. My face and skin is super dry (could just be cold weather).
7. I feel a 'presence' in my uterus... I can't explain it, it sometimes feels hard and like I'm pregnant again.
8. I gained a kilo (could just be my bad eating?).

OHHH and 9. I've had a sore/sensitive cervix during s_x the past few times when it has been deeper penetration, usually there is no sensitivity.

UPDATE 7/7/10 I took a pregnancy test this morning and it came up negative. I also had my sixth orgasm this morning. I will take another test in two weeks if I still haven't got my period by then.

Hi - Guess no one can help me out... It's now 7weeks since my D&C and still no AF. I did another Preg test last Thursday 15th July and negative again. I dont understand whats happening - why is it taking so d__n long?!

I had a miscarriage on June 8th and a DNC and have not had my period yet either. Although i did do a pregnancy test a few weeks ago just in case it came back negative.
I am not sure why it is taking so long.... I guess i will just have to wait as well

Hi scubabare - Thanks for commenting. It's now 8 1/2wks and still nothing, no af or positive preg test. I rang my gyno and he said wait another 2 wks then go back on the pill. He said the pill should kick start it. Food for thought.
