Hi Goergia - many ppl say it starts the day you started m/c. My dr said the only way to tell is to go for a scan at which point they can tell you. But don't go too early as they won't be able to tell anything before 6 weeks. Most HPT will only show bfp at ~4 weeks, so you can use that as an indication as well.

Hi Sandra, Your story gives me hope. I had a miscarriage April 20th at 11 1/2 weeks - but the baby measured 9 weeks. I was supposed to have a d&c 2 days later but I ended up having a natural miscarriage. my doctor said they typically tell people to wait one cycle but that it is fine if I got pregnant before then. I have a weird feeling that I conceived last night, or I could in the next few days. I know its early, but I do think you are more fertile right after a miscarriage. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi Elizabeth. I'm glad my story can give others hope, as it was exactly what I needed not so many weeks ago. I had my first Obgyn appointment on Friday, and seemed well. I am now just over 7 weeks and we saw the baby's little heart beating away like a racehorse. The CRL measurements also looked good. My obgyn wants to see me on a weekly basis for the next few weeks, but this is due to family history on both sides as oppose to falling pg without having an af. Keep the faith, it will happen again for each and everyone of you. Baby dust to you all.

Hi guys, I had a D&C on 20 March. (at 7 weeks pregnant). We started trying again 2 weeks after that. This morning I got a BFP!!! I have had symptoms for 2 weeks but too afraid to believe it! So there is hope - and I didn't have a period between the D&C and pregnancy either.

nica/sandra-congrats! to add, my pg is developing. f/u hcg test showed that it tripled in 2 days so new pg. I had a D&C on 3/28 and no af in between-not knowing how far along I am is agony. I have a u/s scheduled for 5/16 (2 weeks away). do you guys have any idea how far along you are when you found out you were pg? my doc put me on progesterone 400mg at night...I dont believe my levels were tested but to just be safe I guess, I had inquired about taking it just in case my levels are low---should I be worried. I called and they said that it doesnt hurt even if your levels arent low. please keep me posted on how you are all doing, I am worried here!

Congratulations Staci! So happy for you. Now honey, just relax and take it day by day (I know, easier said than done, but you will need to do it as too much stress isn't good for you or the baby). I'm forced to take it one day at a time as morning alias all day sickness has taken full control of my life. It seems like taking progesterone did help for some ppl. I thought I was ~weeks when I had my faint positive, but after the first u/s it appears I was only 3w3d. My HCG levels more than doubled when tested at 3w4d and agin at 3w6d. Have not had it tested since, but am 8 weeks eactly today. Hooray!

girls-thanks for the words of encouragement. I am thinking of all of you too! I am hoping to carry this baby to term-fearful everyday. I am scared to go in for u/s-we were able to see the heartbeat last time at 6w5d and then lost the baby 2 days later...I am fearful of this happening again or seeing nothing at all. I am not sure how far along I am...does anyone have any ideas? D&C on 3/28 normally I ovulated on the 18th day of my cycle. I am nervous too b/c when my hcg levels were tested last wed they were only 57 and then on fri they were 177. havent been tested again, wondering if b/c they are so low if that is a worry. doc felt it was b/c I was so newly pg. take care all***

Staci - don't worry. It's prob just very early days. I tested positive with hpt when I was only 3w3d pg (i thought I was 4 weeks at that stage, but u/s confirmed some dates for me). At 3w4d hcg count was 66, and 3w5d the count was 177. Your story seems very similar to mine. Keep the faith, 5 weeks later and I'm still pg.

thanks sandra, I am hanging in there and praying for the best! It seems as though many people have varying levels...who knows what to believe is "right". I will keep youposted on developments, u/s in 2 weeks. best to you!

Hi I had a m/c on april 6th I still have not had a period. My husband and I decided to start trying to have a another baby as soon as my doctor gave us the ok . She said to not wait and to start trying right away.And now I am wondering if I am pregnant again. Has this happened to anyone else

solage-yes, if you read these posts many have gotten pg right away following a m/c. I am sorry for your loss-know that you are not alone here! I too had a m/c on 3/27 with a D&C on 3/28-I am pg again with no af in between. Not sure how far along I am b/c I havent had a u/s yet-not until 5/16. Have you taken any hpt's yet?

Just wanted to check how you ladies are doing and give you and update on myself. I went for a scan on Monday and everything still seems to be fine. Baby was 23mm, and we were soooo nervous going for the scan. We were so relieved when we saw the little heartbeat beating away. Today I am 9 weeks and all I can think is "Only 3-4 weeks then the morning sickness will ease up". I've had a rough time with the all day sickness and have been forced to take a considerable time off work. Even ended up in hospital last week due to dehydration. I know there's a chance it might not, but this way it gives me something to focus on. All is well otherwise though. I'm starting to show now (only visible to the trained eye), quite exciting really! Hope all you ladies are doing well. Would love to hear how you are doing.

Ok, I had my D&C on the 4th of Feb. and I am 11weeks and 3 days. This means I got pregnant just 3 weeks after the surgery!! It is possible so everyone keep on trying and good luck to you all. I heard the heartbeat today for the first time!

sharon, yes...same here pg like 3 or 4 weeks after D&C. I go in on monday for u/s to determine how far along I am b/c no af in between. have you had any cramps pains with this pg?

I just wanted to let you ladies know how helpful this message board was for me. I was 11 weeks pregnant and found out the baby quit growing at 9.5. I was devistated. They did a d&c on march 1. I am trying again. I think we didn't even wait a week. I just keep praying!
