Hello ladies...
Well I did go to the Dr's office on Tuesday, and I found out that yes I did mc all 3 babies. I stopped bleeding on Wedensday and on Thursday My hubbie and I started the babie dance, I know that I won't be ovulating yet, but I figure if I just do it every day then I can't miss it! I have tried the ovulation kit and I always get negative, I dont know maybe I'm using it wrong or something. Amy I am glad to here that you don't have to wait as long as you expected you would have to, todays drugs are amazing!!! my mom is a Dr. and I have always been told that they are made for a reason and with good proof they work and work well. (I personaly have tried to stay with as much natural products as possible I now that meds work well.)
Oh yah I also went back to work on wed. My kids in cla__s had so many questions why I haven't been there, It felt so good to be back. Well I wish everyone extra baby dust! Hay Katharine hows the Eastern Hamisphere?
Peace& Happiness,
Kristy - New York

I agree with Katharine. Most likely what she is referring to about not ovulating is a condition called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome better known as PCOS. (Which I have.) When ovulating, there is normally a dominant cyst that develops and releases hormones to signal the release of an egg. In PCOS however, you have numerous cysts that look like a "pearl ring" around your ovaries. Too much hormone is released keeping one cyst from reaching maturation, thus keeping you from ovulating. An underlying cause is being slightly insulin resistant......you don't have to be a diabetic, but you could be somewhat insulin resistant. (Check into your family history.) Some of the signs are unexplained weight gain that no matter what you do, it won't come off; thinning hair; facial hair; and irregular cycles. The Glucophage/Metformin helps your body absorb the insulin making your cycles more normal. Sometimes, it even helps you to ovulate. With me it didn't. I had to try Clomid, but I was successful with the first try of Clomid. Then I mc. I start my next round of Clomid this Sunday. So, lots of Baby Dancing for me in a week or so. Good luck to all you ladies!!--It's been hot, humid and sticky in Texas.

hello amy so with pcos if you have it you would never get a + on a opk ? or can you still get a + and not ovulate
|

Amy--I am not sure if you would get a + or not. I would be inclined to think you wouldn't. My doctor advised me not to waste my money on the opk. The only way to know for sure if you ovulated is to have bloodwork done around the time you suspect/should ovulate. Hope this helps!

Hi Everyone. Thanks Katharine, for your advice!. If you have this problem will it always be presant? or will it come and go? I ask only because I know that I have ovulated in the past I have three beautiful children! Hay Amy I hope you have fun "doing the 'dance'!" It has also been hot here in NY I'm sure noting compared to Tx. It has been about 75 degrees here. (that is very warm for this time of year in upstate NY) Getting ready to go to NH for the summer though, maybe we'll have better luck at the beach house for baby-makin'! Peace, happiness, and baby dust to all!!! Kristy- NY

Kristy--It is possible to ovulate if you have PCOS. The symptoms can be controlled through diet and/or medicine. The better you eat and exercise, the more likely you will have normal cycles and ovulate. Have fun this summer! It's in the 90s already here in Texas. Think I'll take some time to float the river! Love and baby dust to all!

Hello ladies, was just wondering how everyone is doing with ttc. Jamie have you started ovulating yet. I have not had af, but I'm not expecting it for about another two weeks, this will be my first one after m/c (or who know, maybe it will not come), but I think I noticed some sign of ovulation this past week. We are going to keep trying. Baby dust to all of you!

Hi guys, just checking in as I do every couple of days. One of the hardest things at the moment is I keep feeling pregnancy symptoms, this morning I did a test (it has only been about 25 days since my d and c and who knows when to expect af?) which was a BFN.....logically I doubt I could be pregnant as we have only properly done it twice since my miscarriage, and my poor body probably doesn't know whether it is Arthur or Martha right now, hormone-wise. However this doesn't stop my heart from longing for a baby and really wishing I could be pregnant again. I just wish I knew when I would ovulate and get af again. I keep feeling symptoms like mildest of backache cramps, slightest nausea, need to b__w nose a lot, all of which were symptoms of pregnancy for me, etc, but I am not sure if this is because my body is still processing and getting rid of pregnancy hormones. However as I said test was negative so at least I know there isn't any hcG in my system, confusing my uterus and thinking it is still pregnant!! (and thus stopping natural order of things like af or ovulation) I also have had slight spotting (just a tiny bit, not enough to go onto a pad) and slight brown staining when wiping (sorry if TMI) so I keep thinking a period is goign to start but nothing happens. I don't like this waiting but am trying to stay really positive and view each day as one day closer to my body getting better, ovulating and then getting pregnant again. Please keep in touch...baby dust to all....Katharine

Katharine--It's good to hear from you! My body did the same thing, minus the spotting, right around the time my period was due this month. I was hoping it was a good sign, but I continued to get negative tests. I ended up going to the doctor and she said my body is just confused so she gave me prometrium/progesterone to start my period. She said that even a little bit of brown counts as your body trying to have a period. I started on my own that day without having to take the progesterone and only spotted for two days. I'm in day 3 of Clomid. So, sounds to me like you are having your first period. Take that as a good sign and keep track of the first day when you started spotting. Hopefully, this means you will ovulate soon. Good luck to you!! Love and Baby Dust to all!! (PS--I have figured out most of the abbreviations on here so far.....but I admit I am still stumped with 'af'. Please fill me in and blame it on my blonde highlights. LOL :-P )

I have had 2 early miscarriages one at 10 and a half wks and a medical termination at 20 weeks. I have an 18 mth old son. my latest loss was the ten wk m/c and was on 16/4/05.....I am not having much luck ! After all my other losses I wanted to get P like NOW ! This time it is slightly different. I think my mind may just be trying to protect itself from another trauma.... We waited on af and are trying again but I am not sure if I am even ovulating. I got af one month after m/c. it was a long drawn out affair which lasted about 10 dys in total. I stopped for about a week then started bleeding again .....this went on for about another week and has finally stopped. I know this is my body sorting itelf out and i am 'all over the place' at the best of times....I am hoping though that this month I will ovulate and have another chance. You ladies seem to be on the same wavelength and it is encouraging to read your stories and to know that I feel the same way as you do ! I am hoping by being altogether more relaxed about ttc this time that it wont take as long and if I somehow try to detach myself further from my pregancy this time around I may just find it all easier to deal with...what do you all think ? Prob not eh ? Its sooo difficult not to keep looking for fertility signs and near impossible to detach yourself from your beautiful little baby ! Good luck to all of you...maybe God reads this site ! Clare GB....x

Hi everyone. I'm with you Amy, I have figured out most of the abreviations, but am also stumped at "af" I think from the context it means period, but I don't get why it is af. anyway, how are you feeling? good, and strong for the baby dancing going on for you soon I hope. Katharine, good to here from you. I hope that the symptoms you are having are positive signs that your body is healing, anfd getting more healthy, preparing itself for your future baby. Well ladies I hope all is well, Love, Kristy
