Sorry...I think I posted incorrectly....

I had a miscarriage March 2 and a d/c done on March 3. My husband and I started having s_x again after the bleeding and cramping stopped. My doc says it was okay to try again because my husband was leaving for Iraq. What is the possibility that I could get pregnant again and when should I take a pregnancy test?

Kimberly: I got pregnant right after my m/c on 2/5/05. I had no period in between. The hard part is guessing how far along. I tested 6.5 wks after my m/c because I was told af would come w/in 4-6 wks. Sorry for your loss and good luck trying again. Also, safe journey to your husband.

Davida - Congrats! May I ask how many weeks after did you find out about the pregnancy?

Martie - March 28

Davida/Cyn I m/c on 2/6/05 and got prgnt again right away with no period. U/S on 3/25 said 6 wks. 2 days. I had a positive urine test by 3/10.

AFTER HOW MANY WEEKS PREGANT DO YOU NEED A D&C IF YOU MISCARRY. I WAS 6 WEEKS AND WAS WONDERING IF A D&C IS NEEDED.

Well, I got AF on Day 28 after my miscarriage. But since I was charting my temps, it doesn't look like I ovulated that first cycle. This month I did ovulate and am waiting for AF again (Day 21). My sympathy goes out to all of you who lost your precious little babies, just like I did.

Martie - March 29

Lorie- your Dr would tell you whether it was necessary..some (like mine) just resolve themselves.

Stacey - March 29

Tami- you are so lucky that you got back to a short cycle. Mine after m/c was 40 days, and this time around I'm already on day 20 (or 21) and haven't ovulated yet!

Cyn: Thanks! I waited almost 7wks to test. Partly because I just could not believe it could happen again so soon and partly because I was scared out of mind to be preg again! I am going to wait a couple more wks before I call the OB b/c by my best guess I am a little more than 4wks.

REGARDING MC and OVULATION. Is this a stupid question: I had an MC on March 9th at 8-9 weeks. Pa__sed alot of tissue, bleeding petered out. Dr was still in a wait-and-see mode about whether I would need a D/C. Now I've ovulated 16 days after MC. Does that mean all is well and I don't need the D/C? She's a new doc for me (I just moved) and have trouble getting answers out of her. HELP!

Thanks Davida and congrats to Martie too! :) It's been 7.5 weeks since my m/c on Feb 7 now, the hpt tested negative last week so I hope af comes soon instead. Just this evening, I noticed a tinge of brown spotting which I hope is the start of the cycle. But I am thinking of using the hpt just to make sure it is a period (if it comes) and not some spotting from pregnancy.

I m/c on March 8 and had a D&C. I thought last week i was ovulating which would have been 2 weeks after. I had my blood drawn to check hcg levels at my 2 week apt. Results at 10. Husband and i ttc b/c that whole week clear strechy cm. had blood redrawn to see if under 5. results came back under 5. Is there any chance i'm pregnant? Could the number be ow b/c i would only be like 1-4 days pregnant? Or is it a completely impossible?

stacey - March 30

Michelle- it's not completely impossible, but I thought the same thing when I had my hcg checked. It was about 5 weeks after m/c and my level was 7- I thought it was possibly b/c I was pregnant, but no such luck- got my period the next week.

Audrey... you have sprung back from your m/c quickly if you are ovulating already... definately no need for a d&c.... And Stacey, hope all is going well for you...

stacey - March 31

thanks Mulgajill- I think things are ok- might have ovulated the other day- had a huge dip in temps, today it's up and I had a pos. opk, but kept it in the cup for way longer than should have- could have caused a false pos. We'll see ! Hope you're alright too!
