Hi again. It was Annemarie's posting that said she had just gone off the pill when she got pg and had her miscarriage. Maybe we're onto something here. As for my AF being lighter, I have only gotten mine the last couple of days, and it is non stop, so I can't help you there. Sorry, Kay, I hope you get answers.

Kay - September 21

Thanks Kelly, Me too had a mc after going of the pill. hmm, you are right we may be on to something. -kay

Thanks Dak - I am going to wait and see if af visits in the next couple of days and if not I am going to make an appointment with my obgyn. I hate this as I have said before this whole baby thing should not be this hard. Praying for all of us that af does not make another appearance. Oh and not to sound stupid but clue me in on bfp and bfn I am asuming that positive and negative are the last initals. Baby dust!

Hello ladies, its me Kay. I need some information until I can get to my doctor. I was wondering if any of you experienced a shorter and lighter period after your miscarriage. I have been noticing that my period is now shorter and lighter than its usually been. This is now my 3rd or 4th period since my mc and it went from 4 days to now 2; do you think that is strange? I know I should be thankful, but I am hoping that it is not a sign of something fishy and serious. If you have any info, just pop it here or at - mblious@hotmail.com Talk to you ladies soon. -Kay

Dak - September 22

I hope you are all doing fine despite the wait for af/BFP. Just to give some info to KAY. Since my m/c 3 months ago I have had 3 cycles. 1st one was heavy for 2 days then lighter the 3rd day, 2nd - heavy for 1 day then lighter for 3 days, 3rd - heavy for 2 days then lighter for 2 days. Before m/c my af was heavy and lasted for 7 days. This is my first time to have it within 3-4 days. I think m/c has messed up our bodies that is why one can not ovulate for 2-4 months after m/c. It changes the body. Besides the change in days and if the flow, my af after m/c has been coming with severe cramps. I didnt experience this before m/c. Anyway I am wishing all of you the best of luck so that you should conceive and carry the preg's to term. Do not worry too much about your af being lighter than before. Remember stress can make you not to ovulate, sometimes it delays period. STICKY BABY DUST

Kay - September 22

Tahnk you Dak and Beth. Hang in there lonely, it is only a matter of time.

Stuck - September 22

I had a m/c 5 weeks ago and no AF in sight. I was 14 weeks along. Maybe the further you were along, the longer the wait for the first AF? Doctor said you have to ovulate in order to have AF.

Kay - September 22

Stuck yea, I herd that your liniing may have a lot of building up to do before it can break down; the further along you were. In due time. -Kay

Still waiting for my period i had cramps and everything again today, just waiting my doc said 4-5 weeks and she is the one that delivered him. It is almost 5 weeks, do you think i maybe preg but, the test didn't pick it up because it is too soon. It was not a test that can test up to 4 days before period. What does anyone think?

Kay - September 22

Lonely 4-5 weeks after a mc is pretty soon for pregnancy, but not impossible. If it turns out that you are, congratulations. But if you are stressing yourself out; you may be delaying AF. Who knows the body is so d__n complicated and frustrating, and lets not mention sensitive. Don't worry though girl (I know easier said than done) cause we are all here to give and get support. -Kay

Dak - September 23

Stuck & Lonely Welcome aboard. I am very sorry for your losses. You didnt do anything wrong to face that. Its a natural thing, you will get well with time. Do not think about af. Thinking about it too much delays ovulation just as Kay has said. Relax and stay positive it will come. 4-5 weeks is not long. It should show up between 4 -9weeks. Mine came after 5 weeks 2 day(41 days). Just forget about it it will come. Kelly just a tip. Falling preg soon after you are off the pill sometimes can lead to m/c. I have never used the pills but I have read alot about them. If your normal hormones are not enough then pills will mess them up that one can have problems in falling preg or carrying the preg to term. Pills will work efficiently to only those who has no problems with natural hormones. I have also read that you should wait for 2 to 4 months to get preg when you stop pills. You rick m/c if you conceive right after you stop pills because the hormones that were there to prevent preg are still working. In my country hospitals are advising young women like myself not to use pills because it contibutes alot to secondary infertility. However there are remedies to this problem. My fingers are crossed for all of you so that AF should go for 9 months. PRAYING 4 YOU.

Kelly - September 23

Dak, thank you for the tip. I had also heard that you should wait 3 to 4 months after going off the pill, but then we didn't follow that advice. I wish we had. Now we're going to hold out for a couple months and let everything go back to normal before we try. We don't want to risk this happening again. I am really thankful that I found this site. It has been helping me to understand that this thing can happen to anybody. Thanks ladies.

I had a m/c Aug 19th and have had no period since. Did a HPT on Monday and was positive. Could it be that there is hormone left from m/c to give positive reading or can I get excited. Doc said would get me in for a dating scan as normal but I can't quite believe it. Doc seemed a little confused too. Any advice?

Dak - September 29

You're welcome Kelly, I support your idea of waiting it will make your body ready for next preg. Good luck with ttc. WELCOME HELLEN to the group. I am very sorry for your loss. You are not alone most of us went through the same thing and we know how you feel. I am always very happy to see other people coming in. We need to share our stories. One story shared will help someone somewhere. A question before I put forward my views on your quiz. Were you bedding after the D&C?. If you were then you might be preg but if you were not then your hormones have not dropped. Your body doesnt know that you are no longer preg hence the positive HPT. When the hormone levels drop then you will have a negative HPT. This is normal it happens to many people. It usually depends on how far along you were. You are in my thoughts & prayers. Just a tip. You should check my article on this thread addressed to Crystal on Sept 5 2005, in which I wrote about a site called Pregnancy After M/c (PAM). You will get more support from that site. But dont leave this one. We get more info by discussing with diff people in diff boards. STICKY BABY DUST

Hello everyone. I had a natural MC on August 22nd. I am still waiting for AF but I am losing all signs of her. I had sore bb’s and cramps for the last three weeks, but it has all become very unnoticeable this week. I was only 9 wks, I don’t know if the baby was growing up to that point, but it definitely looked as if it were a 9 wk size fetus. Please help. I am waiting to begin another cycle with Clomid. Any info as to when to expect AF would be appreciated. It looks like the average is 5wks. I am on week six and the wait is killing me!!!
