Vanessa - Hi, I had a m/c on 20/05 and had spotting and cramping b/t 14 - 16 June and I wondered if this was my af. Then on 20 June I started having terrible cramps and started bleeding very heavily with clots. I'm not sure if this will happen to you but thought it might help if it does.

I have a concern. I was told by my doctor that I had a blighted ovum on April 15th. My bleeding stopped completely on April 25th, and as of today I still have not had a period. I did have some discharge over the weekend, but it stopped after about 3 days. There was never any blood either. My husband & I are getting very anxious and want to try to get p/g again soon, but my doctor advises that we wait until I have a period. I am really hesitant about the whole d & c procedure. It's going on 9 weeks now, and still no period. Anybody have any advice? Is there any medication that could kick start my period again?

I know. I just had my m/c this week. I wish my doctor had prepared me for what to expect. I don't know about you guys but the things that I saw were really disturbing

i am not to sure either, i miscarried in june and waiting for mine, i have to be honest i am really not looking forward to it, all i keep hoping and praying for is that i have been lucky and i am again, it is driving me up the wall, i don't know what to do with myself. i just wana go out and buy a test and check but if it came out negative i don't know how i would cope with that. it was my first one and when i was younger i was told i would find it difficult if i could at all get pregnant. my head is in total bits and i don't know what to do.

Kiren, I would go see your DR! THat is a long time to wait fro your period. THey can give you something to start your period. You shouldn't wait to go, make an appointment ASAP

Thanks Jes, i did go to the Dr. he took some blood tests and is saying that i am not producing enough progesterone and that is why i am not getting my periods. But I do'nt understand why did that happen. Did they do something wrong in D&C? Dr is also suggesting that I should wait for a few more weeks to see if the periods come naturaly. I am confused. I am healthy otherwise and always have had regular periods for my whole life. Should i go and look for another Dr?????

Kiren, I would go see another Dr. My mom worked for an OBGYN for 20 some years. After my m/c she said that I should expect my period within 4-8 weeks. I did get it 28 days after m/c and D&C. She said that some women need a shot to help get it started again. Its been months for you and most Dr will give you that shot after 9 weeks of waiting. Thats a long time to wait. I would seek a second opioin.

I hope someone can help me. Here is my situation. My period was late this month. Its usually always on time. I took 4 home pregnancy test and they all came back negative. I had pregnancy symptoms-vomitting, headaches, frequent urination. On the 3rd day that I was late I was bleeding. Not heavy but light. The bleeding continued until today however it got heavier and looks bright red. I'm wondering is this my period or have I miscarried? I'm confused because the HPT all came back negative. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

my doc told me that a normal cycle should resume. but I am guessing thtat it would probably depend on how far along you were. -kay P.S. I was 5 weeks so maybe I will start at my normal 29 day cycle.

Kay - July 5

No, no idea. But if usually have a 28 day cycle, your period should resume as normal, now it will just be a few days off track. I am better at giving examples - if your period use to start every 4th of the month but you had you m/c on the 9th of what ever month, with a 28 day cycle your period should resume 28 days after that date, but no more than 35. But it difers for every women, it also may depend on how far along you were. I hope this help. If there is anything wlse I could help you with please let me know. It feels good to have someone to talk to. I feel like my Dh has moved on and I am the only one dragging on the feelings of the m/c. I can't wait until AF arrives, I am going to head straight back to the drawing board. Or at least I think so.

Alex - July 6

Lisa - you may an infection. If the bleeding becomes very heavy give your doc a call. I hope everything sorts itself out soon.

I m/c naturally May 14, bled 2 days prior and 5 days after. My 1st AF was EXACTLY 4 weeks from the day my sac pa__sed (5/14). If it AF visits this weekend coming up-- 2 in a row and we can try again!!

Jeri - July 6

I m/c 7 weeks ago, and still no AF...my HCG was 996 yesterday...I guess I have to wait another couple of weeks before it'll go down to zero... Everywhere I've read said 4-6 weeks after a m/c..but mine is taking forever. I still had a sac last week at my u/s. Does that get pa__sed or just reabsorbed?
