Hey all. I've been having a very similar type of spotting. This is the first month I've been TTC. I'm on day 24 of my cycle right now and this is my 6th day of brown spotting (well it's more like brown sludge). I did a pregnancy test on day 22 of my cycle which came up negative, but I think that was probably because I did it too early. Fingers are crossed for pregnancy. I don't think this kind of spotting has ever happened to me before, it seems like too much to just be coincidence that the first time I'm TTC this happens.

Well it's July 30th and I still haven't gotten my period. My very last period was around may 21. I had s_x for the first time around june 26. I had some spotting around july 11th and since then I've had nothing. At first I thought my period was delayed because of stress/drastic calorie change, but now I'm really beginning to think I'm pregnant. What do you think? I haven't had my period since may...and it's almost augest now....??? please help. thanks

and the spotting I had on june 11th wasn't blood. it was this same "brown sludge" you other ladies are talking about... so what's going on with my body?!

to all the people who get negatives on your hpt's try and take the test first thing in the morning when you wake up cause your urine is not deluted by what you're drinking during the day so that's the best time to take the test. And if you can't do that wait about 5 hours from the last time you urinated to take the test that way the hCG(hormone secreted during pregnancy) found in your urine will be higher and then the tests will be more acurate. I took my hpt this past friday i took it 4 hours after my last bathroom visit and it came out positive. and if you are spotting try to visit an OBGYM or a doctor so they can do ultrasounds for you and give you the proper pre-nats for your pregnancy. Hope this helps some of you.

i'M GOING THROUGH THAT NOW. sOME PINK SHOE AND BROWNISH DISCHARGE. I THOUGHT MAYBE ITS BEACAUSE THIS IS THE TIME THAT MY PERIOD WOULD HAVE COME IF I WEREN'T PREGNANT SO I'M GETTING SOME SIGNS OF A PERIOD

Ok ladies... I need some thoughts here.... I'm on the pill (1st month). on the 2nd to last day of my hormone pills my boyfriend and I had unprotected s_x with the "withdrawl" method... its now my 4th inactive pill, I'm cramping pretty steady, and have mostly brown clumpy discharge, some reddish too... I'm terrified that I'm pregnant.... Anyone have any comforting words? I'm a sophomore in college and wouldnt be able to handle a pregnancy!

Ok... so this is CRAZY... literally within MINUTES of sending my entry, i went to the bathroom and what do you know... a FULL on NORMAL period has started! i'm SO relieved...

You have had the quantative, not qualitative test, right. If so, you could have had a miscarriage, or there are other issues as well. Did your doctor tell you what the hcg number was? You should ask. God Bless:)

Hi gals, A few weeks ago I had a bit of spotting..but then it was itching and burning down there, the spotting only lasted for two days, it was like the amount I usually have on the first day of my period. AFter the itching and burning went away there was a lot of discharge. Now my period is missing! It's always late, normally 35 days but I was supposed to get it on the 31st of July and it's still not here! I took a pregnancy test and it said negative..any idea as to why my period is missing in action?

i am 5 weeks pregnant and it is common to have some brown blood it is considered old blood that is left over from your previous period.

bb sounds like to me u might have a yeast infection which is also very common in the first month of pregnancy because of all the hormone changes that occure in that first month

has anyone had success with using ovulation predictor kits? We tried using one this month and the projected date of ovulation I had calculated on paper was 2-3 days off what the ovulation predictor told us. Not sure who/what is right.

I started my period on July 29th and today is August 16th and I have brown spotting. Does this mean that I am about to start my period early? Or, is this a sign of being pregnant?

my cycles are 23 days my lmp was due 12th aug and the 1 before that was due 23rd both havnt come instead i have this brown spotting or stringy stuff no blood but now its gone like creamy brown mush. small cramps on and off. moddiness, some headaches, sore b___bs and this has started in the last few days i would be 7 and a half weeks pregnant by now
