ok.. here is a new thread!! Mommam - that is very good to have cut back that much on cokes, especially given your work schedual. I can see why the extra boost would be helpful. I just went through my desk and cleaned out all the snacks and treats and candies that I had in it, so now I have to eat what I bring. I am going to try to make a better (stornger effort) at eatting better and not giving in so easily. I don't really want to gain too much additonal weight if I dont have too. Here's to will-power!!

great job sb- i work with men so when i got pregnant i gave all my snacks to them and of course they gladly took them. But everyone talks about how pregnant women eat and eat. And how they eat junk food. I haven't really done that. Actually I don't even crave like chocolate or candy bars, anything like that. IF anything I eat a small bowl of Ben and jerry double fudge brownie. but its not topped white choc syrup and drowning in oreos... lol. thats how i pictured my pregnancy.... ice cream and taco bell... but its really not like that...lol

Softbreeze, I think you and I were doing the same thing at the same time! I just copied my post from on the other one and here it is.... Ok! Here we go again! I was just looking online at somebody's registry (don't remember who), and wanted to give you all a little piece of advice from my friends who have had babies. Get the DIAPER CHAMP, not the DIAPER GENIE! The Diaper champ you can use regular garbage bags and not the refills that a specifically for the diapers! That may not mean much to all of you, but you can get any trash bag and not have to buy the expensive ones! Just thought I would help you out... Anyways, my baby is moving like crazy! Last night I was pretty sure that my husband was finally going to be able to feel it, but once he got his hands on my belly... the kicking ceased! Oh well, soon enough it will be happening so much! I went camping this weekend with some friends (on an air mattress of course) and they all had their kids with them... WOW! these are my best girlfriends, but I was praying all weekend that I have a girl bc those boys are CRAZY! Boys seems to have sooo much more energy than girls! As my friends husband says, "boys are physical and girls are mental" We all laughed after that comment because he was not trying to be funny, but it came across like woman are all headcases! I just couldn't believe the difference between the boys and girls behavior (same parents, but totally different)! Anyways, I hope you all had a great weekend! Sorry to all whose husbands are driving them crazy... I'm very fortunate(not meaning to rub it in) to have a very thoughtful husband! With it being the first for both of us and taking 4 years to get here, he is so understanding and appreciative! My famous statement to him is: "I may not look like I am doing anything, but on a cellular level I am very busy!" He always says to me: "do you get to take a break soon?" I love him! Feel free to use my line on your men who think you aren't doing anything!

softbreeze200 - March 31

lol Boodah!! Great minds must think alike!! I am going to look up this diaper champ!! I am all about reg bags, it's just going in the garbage anyway! I haven't seen them out here though. Just the genie. Lol I love your pphrase!! I am going to use it! My friend always says to her hubby" you know, it is hard playing God, creating life and all that" and he cracks up everytime she says it! There is really nothing he can say to knock that one down!! But I love yours!! he hee!!:)

Good for you Momma!! That is good willpower. I don't really indulge too much in candies and such, although I do eat more of it now than before preggers, I jsut don't eat the stuff that I should all the time and then I feel bad about it. I always think, poor girl, there really was nothing overly nutricious in that for you. :( I am going to get better.

cnasmom - March 31

mommam, no i don't visit there often, so i don't know them. my dad is remarried. I don't know what her maiden or other last name is, but they are Sloan now. william and linda. I live wayyyy far from there, i live in a teeny tiny town called hardinsburg, lol. its close to rough river if you know where that is.

UGH!! Ladies I am really p__sed at my bosses right now!!! We currently have 2 positions open in our department, 1 on nights, 1 on days. I have been here almost a year, and I have been asking for the 1st shift position since it came open. I was informed today that they were planning to hire off the streets to fill the 1st shift position, so that I would have to stay on nights. I was like HELLO SENORITY!!!!!! But I was told that I'm more useful on nights because I can work without supervision. I was like, so if I start sucking at my job, can I be on 1st then?!?! They are at least leaving me on 2nd shift. I flat refused to go back to 12 hour shifts. I told them my maternity leave would start early if they even tried!!!! I'm so disgusted though. Oh well, enough venting. I'll check back in later when I'm not so mad!!

On the subject of eating well, as I missed it yesterday, I am totally with you SB200! I'm like "I promise sweetie to eat some fruit and veggies for you today." And I usually end up eating a peanut b___ter and jelly sandwich with chips instead. I had just lost 30 lbs before I got pregnant and literally the week I found out I was pg, all those healthy eating habits went out the window. It's like something psychological with me. If I get hungry, somewhere is my twisted mind I think the baby is hungry so I eat and eat and eat! It is kinda starting to affect me though because when my husband rubs my backside or my thigh, I'm like ooohhh that didn't used to be there. I'm just not one of those women that doesn't gain a lot of weight while pg, it's at least 40 lbs everytime and it takes me literally 2 years to lose it. That's just how I roll. Anyways, I think I've figured out why Creedence is so quiet during the day....it's because she's up all night! Her schedule, that I am aware of right now is 9:00pm, 11:00pm and 5:00am and there might be times in between. Even though it goes by quickly, I remember how much is sucks to wake up every 2-3 hours or hell even every 1 hour at night. Sorry about my man bashing rant yesterday. I think that even though it is partly my husband to blame, I will take responsibility too because I am uber-emotional! Anyways, Hopeful, I hope things start to go your way at work. Have ya'll though of anymore baby names? Ya'll should name her 'Hope' because your myspace says 'Filled with Hope'......then you really would be filled with Hope! Okay, I'm a dork.

softbreeze200 - April 1

Hopeful - is there nothing you can do by pulling senority to get the position that you want, even though they want ot keep you on nights?? That is c___ppy that they are doing it that way. Ekay - lol!! you make me laugh girl!! Filled with hope..... nice!! lol!! I too am noticing the spots that stickout in spots that never used too. Ahhhh... I have to learn better self control or else I will be working forever after she is born to get rid of it all. So your little girl is a night old hey? Little stinker! So far this one likes to start moving around 8am for a couple hours, after lunch, then at supper time and right before bed. I ahvent' felt her through the night yet, but her movements aren't real strong yet. This anterior placenta really does cushion some of the b__ws, but at leats I can feel them. She must be a strong little bugger to be kickinga nd punching through it! But the last few days, she has gotten fond of flicking my bladder!! What a weird feeling!

KITKAT01 - April 1

Ok this is kinda weird but i have been getting these weird like flicking feeling on my who-ha like from the inside is that normal? it seriously feels like someone is flicking me from inside it happens like 6 time in like 2 mins then goes away for a long time but i get it al least once a day anyone know what i am talking about i feel stupid asking but it is truly a weird feeling uggh

softbreeze200 - April 1

That is kind of what my little flicks feel like Kitkat. I just a__sumed it was her flicking my bladder and that was what was giving me the sensation. Maybe the same thing??

elizhope - April 1

Morning! Wow, looks like being off work yesterday I missed alot of convo. I finally "popped" over the weekend and officially look pregnant! And i was reading and boodah is completely right!! the diaper champ is what all my friends use and its sooo much better than the diaper genie. something about how the diaper genie you have to twist down dirty poopie diapers through a small hole and it gets everywhere!

ekay03 - April 1

I must be like immune to something or whatever because I am perfectly content with wrapping a dirty diaper in a grocery bag and throwing it in the trash. Ah well, I feel the 'hoo-haa" flickering too and to be even more blunt sometimes it my 'woo-haa' too or whatever other word you might subst_tute for rearend. Isn't it crazy how much stronger the movements are after only a few days? Now at night time when I am laying in bed I don't even have to put my hand on my belly, I just have to watch it jump and roll. Sb200, it isn't the first one that is hard to get the weight off after, it's those 5 extra pounds from the first when you have the second, then the 15 extra pounds from the second when you have the third and the 20 extra pounds from the third when you have the fourth. Albeit I was only 19 or 20, but I bounced right back fairly well after the first with a little food consumption awareness. And, knock on wood, I've escaped all 3 pregnancies with very little stretchmarks, but with this one, I can see more and more creeping. I think they are the old ones reappearing though because they are silver, not red. Maybe wishful thinking. Elizhope, so you finally popped?! Yay! Anymore movement to report? When are you procrastinators gonna post some d__n belly pics!?

softbreeze200 - April 1

I posted weeks 12 - 20 on my space, but fo rsome reason Lord knows I pushed the wrong b___ton!!) and it put the pics on my slideshow(which there are two of too for some reason!!) You have to scan through the slideshow to see them, but they are there. I hit 22w tommarow, so I will post the last few weeks on there this week. Ahh I see ehat you mean ekay. You are small though, so it should come off after this time. To date I ahev not gotten any stretch marks, but there are still lots of weeks left! I do use body shop cocco body b___ter and it seems to be doing the trick so far. Ekay - you can actually see the baby rolling and moving!! I can barley feel her from the outside yet. That would be soo neat!! Maybe I have too thick of an extra layer on my belly to see the movement.!!!Congrats Eliz!! Very exciting!! Any more consitant movements??

ekay03 - April 1

It must be the bathroom mirror or the side view or something, because for the love of pete I am not small my friend. You should see the rear view!!! I can see the baby move and actually have been able to for a few weeks now. My placenta is actually right at the top of my uterus kinda like an umbrella so it's kinda pushing her down lower I suppose, but yeah, my tummy jumps and wiggles whenever she moves. In due time pumpkin, in due time. That anterior placenta of yours won't cushion much for too much longer! I use some sort of Vitamin E lotion from that Swiss something or other brand. I really lucked out because my sister's stomach is HORRIBLE from all her babies. Like she got super duper skinny and still had this bundle of sagging, stretch marked skin that basically only surgery will remedy, so I am thankful for the little ones I made out with.

ekay03 - April 1

SB200, your tummy is freaking adorable! Not an ounce of fat on your skinny a__s. (yes that is sarcastic jealousy) :-)
