munchmom-I think not wanting it at all is totally normal. I am the same way. I never had the enormous s_x drive like some girls do with any of my 3 pregnancies. I just have no interest whatsoever. SBea - my first son was being strangled by his cord as he was being born. He arrived blue. The whole episode was incredibly traumatic for us all. Lucky for us it all turned out ok in the end and he is fine (and turning 6 on Saturday!!)

hey ladies, how are you all doing? how are the little ones? Well I hope that all is well. All is good here. I will be going in for my 24 week apt on the 6th. Hopefully then I will be having my glucose test or at lease he will schedule it for my 28 week apt. But I had a question for all of you mommies............. have any of you heard that having a 3D 4D ultrasound is bad for the baby? I was wondering because I wanted to have one with this pregnancy, but I heard from other cites and other mommies that their docs have said that something with the technology is bad for the baby. I am going to ask my doc when we go in to see what he is going to tell us. Also when do you ladies think would be the right time to schedule a tur of labor and delivery at the hospital? I was thinking that around our 28th apt that we should call and schedule a tour. Even though we will be having a scheduled C section. I would still like to know where we will be going and all of that. Since this is a different hospital than where we had our son at.

MNMOM~~~ thanks I was wondering if I was the only one that was so not interested in s_x right now. I see the ladies keep talking about their s_x drives and their s_x dreams. Yeah I hope that I get some kind of s_x drive back after this little girl gets here. At least her daddy will be happy. LOL

Munchmom- The only thing that I have heard of with 3D/4D u/s being harmful is that fact that they give off more heat. I haven't really looked into it, but I do know that my friend had one when she was pregnant. Her little girl is now 19 months old. I was thinking of having one also, but find no need for it now because we got such good pictures from the regular u/s. I would definitely a ask your doctor first and maybe do some research on it. As for taking a tour of hospital. We did that at my last apt. when I was almost 24 weeks. We just did a quick run through, and it really helped me. Although it also puts the whole thing into reality mode!!! YIKES! We are planning on taking b___st feeding and birthing cla__ses, and I guess the woman who runs the cla__s will be taking us on a more detailed tour! About the s_x drive...where is it? I find that only once in a GREAT while, I want it, but other than that, just leave me alone. Hug me, kiss me, rub my back and shoulders...whatever...just don't ask me for s_x LOL! I feel horrible, but at least we both know it is only because of the pregnancy and the hormones. I am hopeful that after our son is born things will eventually go back to normal!

Dice~~ yeah that is what I heard that the heat is too much and harmful to the baby. I wanted to get one, but hubby said we are going to ask the doc at the next apt. My sis had one and her little boy is good. He is almost a month old (even though he came a month early) he is good. I know I asked before well not the doc but a nurse and she told me that they are not good. I am still going to ask him though. I want to take the tour so bad, but hubby seems to think that it is a waste of time since that have valet parking, and they take us right to labor and delivery. I still want to see the hospital and see the rooms, and the nursery. You know.

Wow 3D ultrasounds...I don't have the option here. Actually I realized a couple days ago I don't think I get another ultra sound unless I got over due or there might be a problem. I was kinda of sad. i wish i could as I am longing to look at my baby again. It is always such a joy to get a sneak peak at the baby. I guess I will just enjoy the movements. I know there is only one baby but sometimes it feels like a brawl going on in there. Just amazing. However, I have heard rumours that there are problems with the 3D and 4D. I don't know if I am just really laid back, but if it wasn't safe why would you have the option to do it? The Doc will let you all know if you should or not. I wonder if the pre-natal cla__ses we get to do a tour of the Labour and Delivery. That is something to think about. As I have know idea what I am getting myself into. I have never been in that area of the hospital, let alone the one here. Though I here there is a tub. Not a birthing tub, but a tub that you can sit in. So that should be nice. I want to try that before I get and epidural.

Hey ladies how are you all doing? I hope that all of you and your little ones are doing good. Ok I had a question, well sort of like a situation. So my baby shower is planned for Sat July 11th. At the time I will be 6 months preggo. I was on another mommy cite and a lady was talking about her shower and how she is having hers when she is 8 months preggo, and that is was bad luck to have the shower before you are in your third trimester. Humm, I did not read that anywhere and she told me horror stories about her sister and her friends that had their showers early. One lost the baby at 7 months and one had her baby come 2 months early stayed in the NICU and then pa__sed a month later. OMG Im like well hell should I changed the date of my shower? My mom and hubby said NO! The reason why my shower is so early is because it was going to be in the middle of August, but my older sister will not be able to come here, my aunt will be out of town, my grandmother will be back home, and my younger sister will be out of town for her hubbys family reunion. So if I have it on the day that is planned everyone will be able to make it. That lady really scared me. What do you ladies think?

munchmom- YIKES! I am not so sure I would change the day of my shower. There are really good reasons for you having yours early, and just don't listen to what other people say. For all you know this other woman could be lying, in fact it sounds like she might be. Also, it could be that bad luck just runs in her family. I would go ahead with my plans and never think of it again. I hope your shower goes well and is fun!

Munchmom- Don't change the shower date. Maybe it is how I grew up. I don't believe in luck or superst_tions. They just create. Like I had an Asian woman tell me I can't eat watermelon because it is a cold food. They believe that you can't have cool foods as it could lead to the baby dyeing early. How many people know someone who had a baby die because they ate watermelon? No one I know. SO I wouldn't worry about it. Enjoy this celebration!

Dice & sbea ~~~~~ Thanks so much ladies this has been on my mind all day. I am so not going to changed the day of my shower. I am going to leave it as it is. I am so sorry that she had so much negative things happen to her sister and her friend, but I am niether. So the shower will be on July 11th. I will make sure that I let you ladies know how it all goes. I hope that everyone that is going to come will have fun. sbea~~ OMG are you serious, she really told you that about watermelon? How funny is that, I mean during the first trimester all I wanted was watermelon and chinese food. So I dont know where she got that from. My little girl is doing well and I have never heard of anything more funny than that. Thanks again ladies :-)

Hey Ladies, Well I am going to stick around, since I think Dice and I are the only ones going into our Third Trimester. I start today! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I am so ready for this summer to be over and to have my baby. I have 12 to 13 weeks left! That isn't very long. When there is more of us going into the third trimester I will move over.

Hi all - I am on here so infrequently and have to catch up on everything. I agree with everyone on not changing the date. s_x drive, i do feel it more than before, but i wouldn't say it is at any crazy levels. I'm now 26 weeks, and so did we all agree that 3rd tri starts at 27 weeks? In which case, another week - I can't wait. Everyone (!) tells me my tummy looks big.. and then they always look me up and down, and say, but then it's probably cuz you're tiny. I'm 5'-1, and have always weighed less, well about what I should I suppose, so they say, the baby has nowhere to go. I don't know. I just hope it's not a huge-a-baby-mama, cuz I'm dreading episiotomy and c-sec , of course. :) Hope all's going good with everyone. Our baby shower is planned for mid-august and I'm looking forward to it. A friend had planned one and family planned one... Just don't know if the friend one will work out since she had an emergency. Well, we'll see. Anyone else using a doula ? And acupuncturist? Any good info on a doula - what to look for , ask, etc..

Munchmom~ My shower is early also. I'll be 25 weeks at my shower. But I'm flying back home to Chicago for it and its the date that worked for everyone. Don't listen to that woman! I had a woman rip a carton of cigarettes I was buying for my friend out of my hand thinking I was pregnant and about to smoke. People are crazy! I'm sure our babies will be fine, early shower and all. Good luck!

sorry to post 2 in a row but I have a question Anyone noticing that some people are almost starring at you? I was in Kohls the other day and like 4 people were looking at me, my hubby says its just cuz I'm pregnant, I thought it was odd!

Thanks all my shower will be on the 11th of this month. WOW I can not wait. We go in to get a regular check up on the 6th of this month. So when does the 3rd trimester start? I am 23 weeks and 2 days today. I thought that it was 28 weeks but I dont know. Samara wow you are from Chicago? Im from Illinois also, well Decatur, its so small you probably dont know where it is. All well most of my fam lives here, but the rest are suppose to be here for the shower. Which is why it is so early.

My Book says the 3rd trimester starts at 27 weeks. Oh and for all those Canadians on this forum, Happy Canada Day! I am off to the parade here. Maybe they will toss candy here? Hmmm Candy. I have noticed some people staring. I think most of it has to do with the fact that they are building up the courage to ask me how far along I am. I know you can tell by looking at me but I know for myself I don't ask until that person or someone who knows brings it up. Well all of you have a great day!
