Every once in a while I can see my belly popping from his kicks (or punches...who knows lol). But then yesterday he was kicking so hard you could see it and feel it plain as day. My husband and stepson were so shocked! My little guy is most active when I am leaning over my desk at work or just generally when I am sitting or laying down in bed at night. I rarely feel him when I am standing or walking around. But he sure is active!! It is definitely an incredible feeling.

Les~~ I can not wait until I can see her from the outside. My mom has went crazy with all the shopping for her already. I mean she is not even here yet and she dont need anything but diapers and wipes. Im like OMG mom you can quit buying any day. She is like well we need to make sure that she has what she needs, I was like ok well hubby and I are going to get all the last minute things we need and dont get from the shower. I know that she is excited and all, but the shower is in a week, and I am pretty sure she is going to get alot of things being the first girl in 6 years. But oh well I am going to let her have fun if we get double items I will have her take some things back. Has anyone set up their nursery yet? I am not going to have one because Noelle will be in the room with hubby and I until she is older. So there is not really a need for one. We (well mom bought her a pack and play with a ba__sinett) that is set up in the room beside the bed where she will be sleeping.

My due date is Oct 29th. Has anyone done a childbirth without drugs? Everyone is telling my I'm insane for even thinking of doing it.

munchmom04 - July 3

ohh wow we are not that far apart only a few days. My younger sister did it with no drugs with her 2nd child. She did not have any drugs, well she had a little something through her IV only. I wish I had the chance to at least try a v____al birth. I would try it without drugs. Since my son was breech and I had to have a c section they say that all the rest of my pregnancies have to end up in a c section. I think that it is just my doc does not do them because of the risk of rupture. Oh well, if I were you Samara I would give it a try, you can always have IV drugs if you need them.

Hey Samara, how far along are you? My due date is Oct 30th and I'm 23w1d. I feel like I'm so far behind everyone! My mom had 5 kids without drugs, although she suggests I get the epidural. Almost everyone I talk to tells me to get it, but we're really going to try and avoid it if at all possible. I really want a natural birth too, but I know that sometimes the unexpected happens and it can't be helped. We are going through pain coping techniques and whatnot. My friend has a 2 year old and she had a home birth sans drugs and she's due in 4 weeks and trying for the same thing. Munchmom, we're also setting up a ba__sinet in our room for the first while, but we are so dying for space in our apartment we will be setting up the baby's room very shortly. We bought those vinyl removable stickers for his room this week, so I'm pretty excited to set those up! I don't know if things are different where you are, but here they are telling us it is WAY safer to try and do a vag birth after a c-section birth (a__suming you waited 18 months, the baby isn't breached, etc). They won't let you go over a week anyways. I would really push for it if that's what you want, but be open to other options if it doesn't happen. Les, that is amazing! I'm recently begun to feel our boy moving constantly; before bed, while I'm working, standing around, lying down..it's awesome! I can't wait to see the belly move! Take care ladies!

OMG I have been in so much pain all day today and last night. I dont know if it is because I was doing alot of walking yesterday and walking up and down three flights of stairs. All I know is that I could not sleep last night, and it hurts so bad even when I try to walk. I know that Noelle is moving her b___t off and I have some cramping with some pressure. My mom and hunny are trying to get me to go to the ER, but I have a docs apt in the morning at 9, so I was like I will tell him about it. I so do not want to go to the ER because they are going to do all the sticking and proding and it gets on my nerves. Ive thought about a v____al birth, and I have decieded that I am going to stick with the repeat c section. I have googled and looked at videos and pics of natural births, and I dont know if I can do it.

DiGiacomo- I'll be 24 weeks on Thurs July 9th. They say my due date is Oct 29th but when they measure the baby during ultrasound its 11/01. OK I have 2 questions. 1- I eat pretty healthy, but have gained like 20lbs already..ugg. My mom told me this morning I'm not eating enough protein. I was overweight to begin with, my Dr. hasn't said anything about it, so i guess I'm ok. Blood work is good and everything. I never had morning sickness, so I didn't lose any weight in the beginning like a lot of women do. So anyone else eating healthy and still seeing the scale go up? 2- Anyone notice their feet get tired faster then normal?

MNMOM - July 6

Hey girls, just a quick Hi from me, (reminder - due 10/28 and we did not find out the gender) We don't have any names decided either! I think we agree on a boys name, but we have the girls names at least down to about 3 contenders.....we have no middle names whatsoever, it is stressing me out! Also, yes my feet get tired faster...lots of pressure on them I suppose! :)

Samara - July 6

so what is everyone naming the baby? We're having a girl Jocelyn Kate

Dicegirl15 - July 6

My feet get tired faster, yes...but so does my entire body. I have noticed it more in the past few weeks. I will be 28 weeks on Thursday! We are having a boy and haven't fully decided on a name. The top contender right now (at least for my husband) is Trent Alexander. I haven't been sure if that is what I like the most yet, but it seems that everywhere I go or look there is the name. I was packing somethings a couple weeks ago and the box had an address on the side...Trenton. Today I was watching a show about babies and their last name was Trentman. I know it is kind of silly, but I have started taking it as a sign. I am crazy like that I suppose!

hey ladies.... well we went in for a regular 24 week check up today. little girl here is doing really well. she is always very active and always moving. He did schedule my glucose test for the next apt which is 8/3/09. I wanted so bad to go ahead and set a c section date, but he said we will do that later. Oh gosh yes I understand how you ladies feel about your feet. I was having pain and pressure from all the activities that I was doing saturday. He checked and all is well. As far as names I have my little girls name picked out. Well I did until today when I ran across the most unusual pretty name. I know that her middle name is Noelle, but her first name might get changed. We will see.

sbea - July 7

Oh I notice my feet get really tired really fast lately. Well I get tired faster in general. I am 28 weeks tomorrow (tuesday). I am also going for my glucose test tomorrow. I should have last week but I didn't want to. So tonight I was trying to drain my pasta and I had it in a big pot. Well I ended up dumping it all over me! Ouch. But it cooled off really fast, but I steam burned my left index finger pretty bad. It is still swollen, painful and burn and it is 4 hours later! It is a lot better though than at first. As for baby names we have two picked, one boy and one girl. If it is a girl Bethany Grace and if a boy Jacob Gordon. Bethany after me as my middle name is Beth and Grace is after my great aunt who died shortly after birth. Jacob is my hubby's name but the baby is going by the middle name or nick name we have Gordy (soft g more like a J) so it will sound like Jordy. Oh and Gordon is after my maternal grandfather.

DiGiacomo - July 7

Ouch Sbea! I hope your finger heals quickly. We have gone through a million names, but we can't agree on any. We'll both like one and then a week later change our minds. Or we just won't agree to start with. lol I really like David Alexander (Alexander is a popular name right now, it seems), but DH doesn't like it. Oh well, we still have some time. For any of you who are working, how long before your due date are you going on mat leave? I initially decided to take only 1 week off before the due date, but I keep hearing how uncomfortable the last month is. I already have a struggle at my job (with my boss and stress), so I was thinking of taking the whole last month off. What does everyone think?

MNMOM - July 7

DIGIACOMO-I am planning on working up until I go into labor.I did it this way with my first 2 babies as well. The FMLA law allows 12 weeks of time off and I want as much time as possible with the baby rather than sitting around home waiting for him/her to arrive! :)

sbea - July 7

Thanks, my finger is feeling better. Still hurts when I use the b__w dryer, or use hot water. But otherwise it is just red. Okay, so I got back from my glucose test today. I really hope that it comes back as a pa__s. As the drink is so sugary. My goodness, I got the worst tummy ache and sugar high. I feel better that I have eaten something else right now. I have a question, how tired is everyone. I don't know if it is because I am in my third trimester I don't know if that makes the difference. I slept pretty good last night but oh I am tired. I am starting to wonder about anemia. I have struggled with it in my teen years, specifically b12 anemia. I am going to mention it on my next visit which is next tuesday. I am looking forward to going on mat leave, I am not sure if I am going to beginning of August or September. I am trying to go as long as I can. But if nothing is wrong, and I am just this tired I don't know if I can do it. well i am getting ready for a nap so I can finish what I want to get done today.

Samara - July 8

Good morning girls! OooSbea - sorry about your finger - ouch! So last night I was laying in bed and feeling my stomach and noticed it was significantly harder on the right then left, I a__sume its her getting comfy on one side. I don't have any pain Or anything on that side, might ask my doctor when I see him on the 20th. Anyone else having heartburn issues? Seems like if I don't eat as soon as I'm hungry or if I eat to many carbs I get heartburn, sucks! Tums are my beast friend now
