I am 30 years old, and have been bleeding lightly for 4 months, and when I went to my Doctor, he prescribed me Provera 10 ml for 10 days. I took the pills but then started bleeding so bad that I had clots the size of my palm, so on the last day, I stopped talking the Provera. After 7 days of heavy bleeding, so severe I could not leave the house, I went to the clinic, to get some more Provera, the doctor prescribed me the same amount until I could see my regular doctor. Then 3 days later I had seen my Doctor, and he scolded me for stopping the Provera, and said that there was nothing he could do, except perform a D&C. He said that sense my husband and I wanted to have our own baby, that this was a risky decision. I then asked him if there was anything at all he could do, and I asked him if he could prescribe me birth control pills. He said; "yes, but it probably wont work, if Provera did not. I was desperate, and he ordered me to take 2 pills a day. I have now been on birth-control pills for 5 days, and the bleeding has slowed down, but has not stopped. What do I do? The doctor does not want to help, not once did he examine me, and he said that he could not perform a blood test until I was not talking hormones for 2 weeks. I was also slightly anemic before I was bleeding heavily, and he did not want to treat that either. My regular doctor started talking bad about me, thinking I was gone, so now, I don't even trust him. My insurance has a limited amount of people to see, and I feel hopeless, week, and sick to my stomach. Can there be anything else wrong with me?

I wish I had a better answer for you, but I really think the best thing to do is get a different doctor. A D&C is not risky and will not cause you problems conceiving later, this is a very common procedure that is frequently done after miscarriages with women able to conceive fairly soon after. Find another doctor as soon as you can.
