I got the Mirena IUD a couple of weeks ago. After having s_x i could feel that the string had almost dissapeared inside me but i could still feel the tip. It came back out 10 min later. We had s_x again and this time it completely disappeared and I thought that it would eventually come out again. Its been 5 days and it still hasn't come back out! I thought that having s_x wouldn't effect the IUD. Has this happened to anyone else? What does this mean? Is it dangerous or will it come back out eventually? Why can't it just stay in there anyway?
