Hey, this is my first month of TTC I'm currently 2DPO and am started to get worried I might have failed the baby roulette. Sometimes I'm too dry and my husband will perform oral on me. I've recently read this can hinder sperm. I'm concerned to what point and what chances? Does it kill all the sperm? Make them immobile? What are my chances of still achieving pregnancy?

I can tell you now that I am currently pregnant with #3 & we often have used saliva as lubricant & it has NEVER affected the sperm. I honestly wouldn't worry too much about saliva killing off enough of the sperm to make a difference, it sounds like an old wives tale & if there was much truth to it, everyone would do it as a form of birth control instead of paying out money on spermicide. On the other hand using oils of any kind as lubricant would affect the mobility of sperm & would make it harder to conceive. If you are still worried go & buy some water based lubricant, as this will help with the dryness & will have no affect on the sperm. Goodluck & I hope you get a positive soon.

Thank you that helps a lot! I was trying to find other women who do it and still got pregnant but I was getting a lot of other topics while googling it! So yes ty very much i can honestly say i'm breathing a little easier ^.^
