Withdrawal Method And Possible Pregnancy

Hi,
Me and my wife have recently started using the withdrawal method (pull out, or coitus interruptus) during s_x rather than using a condom. I have looked at
various websites on the matter and it would seem that the percentage of
unwanted pregnancies are only a little higher with pull-out than with condoms.
Me and my wife are both 44 years old and I believe that even if she wanted
to get pregnant it would be very difficult at this age so hopefully there is very little
chance she would get pregnant anyway, but we are still a little nervous about
the possibility of her becoming pregnant.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the likelihood of pregnancy in our case?
Many thanks
Mark

If you were in the 15-35 age range, I would be strong in favor of condoms rather than pull out. You could father children for another 20 years or more, but your wife is close to menopause and unlikely to conceive. Enjoy your love life, and once ovulation has pa__sed in each cycle, enjoy it to the full! GL!

While unlikely it is still a possibility. From I've seen, as soon as a couple thinks their is a low risk of pregnancy their stress levels about the issue go down and suddenly as well as unexpectedly - pregnant. I would be concerned about the baby's health if she does become pregnant. Having a child later in life creates a higher possibility of complications like Downs Syndrome. I agree, s_x is not as much fun with the use of condoms and other types of contraception can be a ha__sle as well as creating unwanted side effects for her. Have you looked into getting a vasectomy?
