You have to ovulate to become pregnant, when you ovulate , the egg is only available for 2 days to be fetilised, thats why you sometimes dont become pregnant straight away as there is only a 2 day gap open to allow swimmers to reach the egg. You dont ovulate when your pregnant because the body realises that theres an egg already released and fertised hence this is why you dont get a period when you get pregnant. A period is just the body's way of discarding an unfertilised egg and old uteral lining. You can only get pregnant when you are ovulating!
