im 25 with an 8 year old daughter. she was concieved of a one nite stand and i only knew the guys 1st name. i dont know where he is now as i haven't seen him since that night. my daughter is asking questions and i dont know what to do now. im a respectable person and have only ever slept with 3 people and never done anything like that before or after. help me please. i dont know what to tell her and im at my wits end

Sounds like a real serious situation. And it would be really hard to lie to your child, but it's also really hard to have such a serious conversation with an 8 y/o. Try your best to pa__s it off, wait till she's old enough to understand. I can't be much help here, I've never experienced this, but that's what I'd do. Good luck!
