I Am Just So Confused All The Time

So, just a little heads up I'm 21 and my boyfriend and I have been off and on for the last 2 and a half years. Well, we just got back together in July after a 5 month split, I've been on Depo Provera for about 2 years, and I haven't ever lapsed or forgot to go and get my shot. But at the beginning of September my boyfriend and I found that I am pregnant. Only about a month and a half of being together, we got pregnant, while on birth control... He says that he's not ready to do this, I get it, because it's not just the typical "I'm not ready for a baby" ordeal, he already has a son that is 5 years old, that he doesn't get to see, no matter how much he calls his son's mother. As well as he has grand mal seizures, and his medication is about to changed -- and he is scared to be left alone with the baby (if we were to keep it) and it's nerve racking really I get it. But I keep going back and forth, I cry at the thought of an abortion, but I'm only 21 years old, and I don't know what to do, I live with my parents, and I know that they would be disappointed with me as well... I will be 12 weeks, on Saturday the 25th, which yes, I know is quite far along given most cir stances. I went to the hospital for bleeding, and the doctors said that everything was normal, they did blood work and two ultrasounds, and they gave me a sonogram, and that really just shook me up, I'm not looking for an answer, I'm looking for opinions. I'm so confused about the whole thing, I'm so mixed up and torn, that I don't know what to do.

Sympathy. I think you should get the help of your parents right soon. You did responsible birth control so there is nothing to be ashamed of. Your parents might surprise you with their encouragement. One in three women have an abortion at some time in their lives, often after they have resisted the idea on the first pregnancy and then realize that another child is out of the question. Call 1-800-230-PLAN tomorrow if that is an option you decide to explore.
